Guys do you get intimidated by older brothers?

I'm 19 and I have an older brother who is 21. He is big built but not fat he just works out a lot..Do you think guys get intimidated when the girl they like has a big older brother? My brother doesn't chase them off or anything, but most of the guys that I'd start to talk to, once they saw who my brother is, they just stop talking to me :(

I have two older brothers, and one of them (who's 6'2" and over 200 lbs of muscle) likes to intimidate guys lol. My boyfriend met both of them without a problem though. He mentioned that my brother is really big, but they get along fine. Just depends on the guy. Some might be scared off, but I think most won't care. They're not dating your brother, after all.

nope,i would not see it that way..i'd just go up to him and introduce myself as your friend and stuff and will get to know him better as a friend...i feel that when I impress a girl,to marry her I would also need the support of her family..so I won't make a mistake,if I'm really committed.

ok blame it on your brother? Men are not apes. If he's not done anything wrong why should he fear your brother? Anyway your affairs have nothing to do with your brother technically.

dont jump to conclusions now. I only involve my brother because when I confront these boys who just "disappear" they usually say something along the lines of "your brother looks mean" and I think that is a lame excuse and they shouldn't be intimidated by him. so I wanted some feedback on if guys really do get intimidated or if those are bad excuses theyre making..?
