Guys & girls: he stroked my arm and said this, is it a positive sign?

We are friends (but I have a crush on him)

we were saying goodbye (he'll be gone for a while)

and he started stroking my arm gently (friendly not flirty)

so I asked him: 'what is it'?

he replied: 'what is it you feel?'.

I was so surprised that I couldn't come up with anything to say.

I'm confused. Is it a positive sign?

Please help me with sincere advice, esp. guys!

Yeah it does sound romantic. It does sound like it came out of a novel or movie like kovalinkie said.

When he said "what is it you feel?'' I was at a lost for words too! lol ...I guess I wold have asked him "well, what do you mean?'' I'm confused too..but it was definitely positive. Did he say is with a smile, serious face or in a joking manner?

It wasn't in a joking manner. It was a quick, in-your-face, sudden thing. He caught me off guard and I just didn't know what to say. In fact, I didn't even understand it straight away.

Sounds kind of romantic or at least something that should be in a movie or novel (except you not saying anything of course). If he isn't gone yet then meet him and when you are saying goodbye do the same to him and see what he says.

Of course, he's being physical with you. It's a positive sign that he's attracted to you and hoping to move things forward.

He trusts you and is possibly attracted to you. He was probably nervous and didn't know what to say, but he probably meant how do you feel about 'us'.
