Would you stay up all night with a girl you are just friends with?

My guy friend and I talk a fair bit on IM. I'm 23 and he's 25. Several times now, we've talked literally all night. I mean, oh heck it's 8am guess we better go to work now. He also once stayed up with me while I pulled an all nighter for a paper. He tends to be a night owl anyway. Guys, would you behave this way with a girl you liked only as a friend?

More info: We are pretty close friends, and I am his only female friend. Some of the conversation was over more serious topics, but it was really all over the place (I mean, we talked for 8 hours straight, what do you expect? :P ) We've been friends for two years. Somewhere along the way I fell in love with him. I told him how I felt about 6 months ago, he said he didn't want to date. I've been trying not to feel this way ever since, but when stuff like this happens it isn't easy!

Well, over the summer I was talking to the guy I have liked for years, and one day we started talking at 5 pm, I crawled into bed at midnight, and we were still talking. He convinced me to stay up until 4 am talking, at which point my phone and iPod's batteries were dead. At the time, he was 20 and I was 16. He has had insomnia since his dad passed away about 5 years ago, so he doesn't sleep much now (we have since stopped talking for reasons I do not want to disclose). They were some pretty amazing late night conversations though.

I'm not a night owl anymore...I turned into a early riser so I need my sleep now...I'm getting old. O.o

LMFAO... not no but HELL no! He's definitely in to you, I would never talk to someone I knew was just a friend for that long... probably just shy and doesn't know how to escalate it with you to show he's interested.

I would if it was going to beneficial to the girl and help her out, have done it before but as most of my friends are online the time zone differences can be annoying.

Probably not unless we were together and partying was involved, definitely not over IM!
