Why are my ex's friends nice to me?

My ex and me broke up on really bad terms and I wasn't close with his friends at all but recently I've noticed his friends are really nice to me. They even stop to chat when they see me. My ex also has been smiling at me and complimenting me when he runs into me.

My opinion he's probably using his friends to talk to you. to get closer to you again maybe he realizes he screwed up and wants another chance to get to talk to you and work things out

Well it all depends on how he is acting towards you if he's just flirting with you there good be a chance try talking with him when you can but if you see him hitting on other girls one day and then you the next I wouldn't take a risk
