What makes a good hugger, and what do these other things mean?

When my male friend was comforting me, he said that I'm a good hugger. I said that I don't know what would make a good hug and what would make a bad hug.

He didn't respond to that. I'm not sure if he couldn't explain it. When I was hugging him, I was leaning over with my arms around his waist and my head was on his chest.

Also, if at some point, he rests his hand on my hip and at another point calls me 'darling', is this a sign that he has feelings, even though he's really friendly and has a girlfriend? I don't know what to make of it. He has admitted that he thinks I'm attractive.

Should he be admitting that he thinks you're attractive if he already has a girlfriend? I'm not saying you can't hug, but that sounds kind of intimate, you know? Also, a hug is not evidence to conclude attraction, and even if there was attraction, it is forbidden, because he is already in a relationship.

There are people that are closed off, and so do not like hugging, and then there are people that love hugging other people. Most likely bad huggers are people who are willing to hug, but do so like a "pat on the back", meaning they don't really lean into it, and seem kind of distant, instead of giving it their all.

He complimented the way you hug, because he wants more hugs from you. He probably likes you. If he doesn't like you then he may just need a hug once in a while, and is too afraid to initiate it, for fear of your thinking him a pervert. I think it is more likely that he is interested in you.

Its the warm and fuzzy feeling you get when you're in the arms of someone you love. Its the security one feels as they encased in another's embrace. Its the fireworks you feel when you know this person means the world at that moment and that you do to them with the simple gesture that is a hug.

The fundamentals and details that go into the physical gesture of a hug isn't as important as the emotional and spiritual connection between the people in the hug that makes it special and perfect.

I'lll fire back an odd question: how can you screw up a hug? Unless you shake uncontrollable when a girl holds you tight or if you pat her back awkwardly and call her slugger...lol!

A good hug, with all the body parts in contact, is always nice - and if it lasts for more than a few seconds, becomes a turn on for certain!

So it depends a lot on how you pressed against him and how long he enjoyed it for!

And any guy getting a long warm flesh pressing hug is going to get feelings! Hard ones! And wife or girlfriend is temporarily forgotten!
