Guy I'm dating introduced me as his friend?

I've been dating this guy for about 6 weeks, and its going good. He's already introduced me to his fam and some of his friends. So, last night we went to a bar with some of his friends I'd never met and he introduced me and said "This is my friend, Sarah." Do you think its bad that he introduced me as his "friend" or was it just because he doesn't know what else to call me?

Well dating and being in a relationship are 2 different things. When your in a relationship together, He should be saying "girlfriend" but hey I wouldn't get too caught up in titles, Maybe you should just find out where you stand with him.

Or he might just be trying to avoid ridicule from his mates (some of us never grow up =P).

Until there is a label it is awkward. It is possible you might have been equally offended if he called you his "girlfriend."

I completely get where you are coming from, but it all depends how often you guys go out/hang out. Is it everyday? once a week?

are you exclusive with each other? or just dating?

i wouldn't think too much of it just yet. wait a little while and see what happens. :)
