What is the difference between calling my guy friend bro, homie, dude, and homeboy?

So me and my friends has been calling each other honor or bro but what is the difference between homeboy honor dude and bro?

I would say dude or bro is more casual among guy friends where homie and homeboy is more of a slang. I was even called the N word and I was like so not used to it.
