Random girl sent me a friend request?

So I noticed that one of my friends that is doing church work in New Mexico. had a photo on his wall. He didn't post but a girl did. I liked the pic along with a bunch of other people I know. However I'm the only one that got a friend request from her. Why would she do that for someone she doesn't know that doesn't even live there and not any of the other people that liked it? She is cute though. It's kinda what's the point of adding me when you live in a different state though?

It could be anything. Maybe she wants to learn more about a city she plans on moving to, maybe she thinks you have the same last name as a guy she's interested in, maybe she wants connections to promote her business or music. Maybe she wanted to utilize your pool of social contacts etc...

Cause it's good to have people from the opposite side of the world spectrum. She may find you slightly interesting, and curious of what people are like down there.
