This world is a world of self-interest and gain. People don't interact with or do good deeds for those who don't benefit from them.

If you've noticed, mostly people with poor financial situations have many children because they want their children to have a good income and a substantial salary in the future so they can financially support them. That's why your father beats you mercilessly when your grades are low. He wants you to have good grades, get into a good university, have a good profession, earn a large sum of money, and support him.

And then there's old age. Nobody wants to go to a nursing home; nursing homes are literally prisons for the elderly. They torture them, mistreat them, and force their own excrement into their mouths. And when they're old, they expect you to take care of them.

Last Thursday i had a row with my older sister, because she is claustrophobic and hates confined spaces , i locked her in her room, i enjoyed watching her kick and screaming to be let out, i only meant for her to be locked in for an hour or 2, while anyway my friend rang up and i got distracted and went out, i forgot about my sister, my parents came home 6 hours later and found her locked in, she had a couple of panic attacks, missed her driving lesson and a date with her boyfriend, my parents went mad and said i would be getting a taste of my own medicine , they said i will be spending ALL of this weekend locked in my room as a punishment, as i have exams this year my parents have set me tons of school work to do , including maths , English , french and science plus 2 punishment essays, as i write i am locked up and i DONT like it, are my parents being fair?

My friends son is 19 and gay. He's been sleeping with a 50 year old man for 2 months, the old guy started it. My friend went to his house and called him all the names she could think off and threatened him to stay away.

Her son is pissed, but she thinks hell get over it.

Lets say you were online friends for a few years and you were recently accused of wrongdoing online by a person that visited your friends chatroom online that could have really impacted your life but was proven you didn't do it.

Then a few days or weeks later you were in that room but was kicked out of that room by your other friend that is a moderator even though you were there first because that accuser joined. That friend messaged you after being kicked saying they only did it so no trouble would start, but they didn't kick out the accuser that had been hostile to you even before the accusations started.

Then months later not the room owner but the moderator of that room messaged you checking up on you even though you all haven't really spoken to each other much for months after everything, but only a few times.

Would you remain friends with people like this?

I feel really alone after cutting my family off.. I’m realizing that you can’t heal from the same environment that broke you and it kept me in a bind for years because they heavily supported me and I was doing well until one day I really needed their support and I realized that I didn’t matter?

I was talking to a man I was head over heels for and he didn’t want me. We stopped dating and I was so depressed for a year and I just didn’t want to live and I told my mom about it and then my cousin… I told my cousin everything and she goes behind my back to talk to him

My cousin lives with my mom and I tell her that I think something is going on and my mom just ignores me or says “so what do you want me to do about it “ or she says “I’m sure there’s things that you’ve done “… so it felt like a knife in my chest fr… because it feels like I’ve been betrayed twice

And to this day I don’t know how to move on from it and everyone is saying let them fall in love etc and move on… I feel gaslit by my family over the situation…
