In lieu of fathers day coming up do you have a good relationship with your dad? If your dad has passed away did you have a good relationship with him before he passed?

My dad and I never really had a "bad" relationship, but he was a complicated man and wasn't always present in ways that he should've been. Don't get me wrong, he still did things for me that dads are supposed to do, but I can't say that I ever felt particularly "close" to him.

Yes, I have a very good relationship with both my parents. I would say that I am closer with my mom in some ways and my dad in others.

Both have their style and pluses that have helped me through life so far.

Haha, nope. He was an awful father during my childhood years, and my teens. We developed a good relationship when I became an adult. But then as soon as I had my first child, he went back to being awful, so I cut contact with him. It’s been 2 years since I’ve seen him now. Occasionally we wish each other happy birthday or merry Christmas over text.

I’m lucky to have the dad I have. I do not talk to him as much as I should but we have a good relationship. He is someone I can rely on for anything and he has done so much for me throughout the years

My dad passed away in February. He always had better relationship with my younger brother, whilst I have better relationship with my mom.
