I feel like when talking about wanting to have a baby people often forget that they're not babies forever. They're babies for approx one year!

We treat babies like puppies and kittens.

What games did you use to play? What toys were your favourite?

I've only been to two weddings in my life (both when I was a child): My uncle's wedding and my parents' wedding.

My uncle got married when I was 9 and there were no kids allowed at the reception. At the time, I remember being so offended because I wanted to have fun, too. 😂 The reception was being held at a hotel and my siblings, my cousin, and I ended up having to be stuck in our room all night, being babysat by one of my uncle's goddaughters (who was a teenager at the time). I was a hyper kid and we all were so bored that we just started jumping on the bed. At one point we were hopping from bed to bed, and eventually we had security called on us because we were making too much noise. 😂

My parents' wedding was very different. The ceremony was pretty quick and they just had the reception at my grandma's old house and all us kids were allowed. 😋

I feel like the "No Kids Allowed" receptions are becoming more common these days, but what do you think?

Would you rather go to a reception where there aren't any kids around?

So like any of them Santa and the elves, the Easter bunny, tooth fairies.

For you does that also include the party princesses e. g. Disney/DreamWorks characters and allowing them to think they are real.

Personally I think there's no harm in letting the kids imagination go, I'm going to let the belief of Santa etc go for as long as possible. I remember my own memories and they were quite magical with the belief of Santa and my parents did it in quite a way that Santa can't make you huge electronic things like games or consoles, so you're expecting something cool and wonderful from Santa but not super expensive.

As for Disney I say while watching the movies that that character isn't real, but her seeing minni mouse was the sweetest thing I'll ever see. She was only 3 and they told us it'll be over a two hour wait, we had a roof but it wasn't indoors and I let her make the decision she told me she'll wait. Well despite it being about 8°C and raining, we sat down on some cardboard and waited no phones just chatting and cuddling cause it was cold. And she was the most patient girl ever and when she saw minni and daisy her eyes lit right up and she had a little dance with the both of them, ran up to minni when it was her turn and didn't let go for a couple of minutes and it was amazing to watch, I don't think I'll ever forget it.

So my mom has always pushed me and my sister to dress slutty and drink alcohol and party etc. Like the other day my sister brought a beautiful long skirt and a blouse that covered her cleavage and my mom said its too modest. She should show more skin. How is being "too modest" a thing🤔 its very rare for my sister to dress modestly she isn't as conservative as me she is very free. But just wondered is it commen?

Like whenever I hear people say I'll just give my dog or cat up, or simply move out and leave the pets behind. It leaves a bit of a bad taste in my mouth, even more so if they lock them in or tie them to a post. But I couldn't imagine just leaving behind a pet and not taking care of them after I've made the commitment to have them.

My fiancés dog got hit by a truck 3 weeks after finding out we are expecting a baby. She had her back leg amputated and metal plates put in her pelvis, as it was broken in 3 spots. We were told to kennel rehab her for 8 weeks while she healed, which we did. She was a full assist for toileting and exercise through that time (having to hook her up to a cloth device and hold her up to go to the bathroom- which fell off on me because he works full time away from home whereas I work from home). It took a lot out of me, considering I am pregnant and exhausted. I now have a pinched sciatic nerve and have since 12 weeks in to the pregnancy and it's incredibly painful.

Fast forward the 8 weeks, she's out of kennel rehab and has developed an insane amount of behaviors. The vet swears that the truck didn't cause a brain injury but I don't buy that at all. To get the testing done it would cost us another $1k that we don't have (her surgeries cost almost $3k as is). She now lunges at the side of her cage snarling at everyone except my fiancé, refuses to get out of her cage unless you ultimately force her, has developed food and cage aggression, won't touch food at all unless it's nothing but an expensive brand of wet food that we had to get her during her healing process (will literally not eat to a point of being lethargic), has nipped at several peoples faces for doing something mundane- like hugging me or my husband goodbye when they leave the home, whines literally nonstop, barks nonstop, growls constantly, etc etc. The vets swear she's not in pain and this is all behavioral.

I'm due in 8 weeks and this dog and her behaviors are making me weary of even bringing the baby in to this house. I don't trust the dog and behavioral training isn't doing a wink of good. She's gone after the trainer more times than I can count. So I told my fiancé the dog has to leave before the baby comes. He says I'm heartless because she's been through a traumatic event.
