How would you feel if your best friend gave you a live animal for your birthday?

If my friend gave me a live animal on my birthday I would play a joke on my friend & invite her or him over for dinner. For example if my friend gave me a rabbit I would go out & buy rabbit chops or whatever cuts they come in & make it for dinner for them & hide the rabbit they gave me.
"Damn! Where am I going to put that elephant?" :-D
I'd be angry as fuck.
A pet is a living being, not a gift. It costs money to sustain its lifestyle and if you're not ready for it that can be a lot of stress.
Depends on the pet and whether they're just gifting me with the animal or also with what it needs in regards to housing, food etc.

You cannot give living creatures away as a gift to anyone without their consent!! It's cruel because a owner that doesn't give a shit about their animals are not going to take good care off that animal or they might even abuse the animal
Pets are NOT surprise gifts!!! ❌❌❌
But don't force a pet. Because with cats and dogs... the animal is choosing their new owner bring that person to a store or animal shelter.
Pets which are interested in the birthday boy / girl will come to them... and he or she can pick one out.
Great but I need to be organized before hand on what I like and want and the size of the dog I like big dogs
Its bad. I have already a pet and my pet would get jealous and not accept a new pet. He is very possesive and bonded to me. It will end up either he attacks the new pet or the pet would attack him.
Animals are not gifts!
And my friends know that.
Cat - BROCHAMS (I’m joyful about it)
Dog - Oh boy….
hampster - will get another
rat - will get another
bunny/rabbit - Sweet
As long a it's not poisonous, dangerous or needs an entire house of its own.
I’d love 💕 one but I don’t have a place to keep it.
Pissed!!! I am retired and want to travel. Don’t want the responsibility of taking care of a pet!
I don't want any gift that comes with a multi year commitment.
As long as its not a bird. birds can be annoying af lol
If it was something low maintenance like a cat, sure. Id have to turn down something like a dog though.
No more pets for me, thank you.
At this point in my life it would be manipulative and using a sweet little innocent animal to imprison me and obligate me and deplete my resources and change my schedules…I’d be really pissed.
I’ve had many pets and they became part of the family. We/I always were good owners but for me, those days are over. I have an agenda so, no thank you:
If it was a kitten or puppy sure
Please DO NOT do this.
Depends... lolxxoo
that's a really obnoxious thing to do
I would've preferred it cooked
You should never gift a pet to someone
