Noticing people wearing expensive casual wear to formal events really is a faux pas... It's really more than just awkward not respecting the dress code just because you feel like it or because you think that just because you're wearing 400 dollar jeans means they look as nice as 70 dollar dress pants.
People will not take you seriously if you don't take yourself seriously - and wearing sneakers to a formal occasion (especially business occasion) - no matter how expensive they might be - is not the way to reel in that new position/job/opportunity you've been searching for!
Instead of these...
wear these!

You should also do a take about fit. How to seize the clothing, cuz apparently people love to wear shit to tight or too baggy.
I still can't understand people that wear snickers... they're so uncomfortable compared to a pair of Italian leather shoes.
A good rule for not wearing something too tight is that when you button it, if you get the x shaped wrinkles coming from the buttons, it's too tight. You don't want to look like you bought your blazer in a children's store even if wearing tight clothes is in fashion.
Absolutely agree !!
Good take!
