Your Rocker Fashion Lookbook

If music is pumping through your veins, and you love being a bad a$$, the Rocker look may just be your cup of tea...or, you know, something much much stronger. There is a certain attitude that comes with this look that cannot be faked (at least not well). You walk into the room and the pieces you've put together make a definite statement: you love your band, you never met a color of black you didn't love, you own the room, and you aren't to be trifled with.

In order to become a part of this aesthetic, one must basically LOVE black and leather (even if it's just faux). Like really love it. Aside from black and leather, girls who rock this look or want to (pun intended) can usually be found wearing studs, any form of boot but especially ankle, Doc Martin, and anything with straps, feathers, chains, lace, spikes, plaid, flames, skulls, animal print, zippers, anything worn, distressed, acid washed, or filled with holes, and above all else, ones prized and beloved Vintage or current Rock Band T-shirt.

The Rocker chic gives off this impression that you don't know whether she's just gone to the concert or she's coming back. The eyes are rimmed with eyeliner or covered by big glasses. Anything bed head hair, or an edgy cut, or bold color, works. For the more daring, shaved heads, Mohawks, faux hawks, and multiple colors in the hair work. Accessories, are plenty of chains and studs and spikes, leather, cuffs, a handful of crosses, or animal inspired will do.

Hahaha none of these are badass rocker chicks. Just rich posers who waste hundreds of dollars on clothes that they could make themselves. Plus they don't even look like rocker girls, side from the Tokyo goth girls.

rock still exists but mostly in the underground scene.

With any specific style, it's ultimately up to the wearer how they will define the look. Style doesn't tend to just come to a full stop when a pop culture phenomenon, or time period ends. Instead, style comes back repeatedly and changes with the people who wear them, and becomes revitalized by those that love the vintage aspects of them. The rocker look as I have defined it is not dead regardless of whether not rock music is popular or not---it is the aesthetic that lives on in these people who are not ancient relics, but people we find on the streets everyday. How you wear the style is how you will define it for you, and perhaps those that like your version as well.
