  It was a friendly jab at the people who use high waisted pants to hide their belly. In all the examples shown I prefer the look of the lower waisted jeans. High waisted jeans remind me of urkle and are uncomfortable since they rub the stomach and press into your waist more while sitting down. Plummer butt can be solved with a longer shirt

  As someone with no hips and a normal waist I find that for me (and generally what I think looks good on others) is the bottom of the waistband starts at where the pelvis starts making a visible "V" lower than that makes you look 90s-early 2000s (not bad but you have to be very skinny to pull it off) and higher (especially if it covers the belly button) looks alien
