How to wash a school kilt?

I'm very sorry for this very non related question! But I really want to hand wash my school uniform kilt! But I'm too nervous to do it, incase I ruin my kilt! On the tag it says hand wash, hang to dry, and iron at 150C! It is also made of 55% polyester and 45% wool! Thank you to anyone who answers this!!

If you have a front loading washing machine, you can wash it on the gentle cycle in cold water with a gentle detergent. Hang it to dry.

Alternately you can get it dry cleaned.
