Do you think it's acceptable for (straight) men to wear leggings/tights/pantyhose in public?

Would you say it's Ok for guys to wear tights or leggings or something like that in public? Athletic wear aside, of course lol. I think it would be super comfortable if not for the embarrassment factor! Would you assume they are gay or something? Nobody wants to send the wrong message so it's important to know.

Also, ladies would you date/support a guy doing this? Do you think it's more or less attractive or what?

Guys should wear tights in public, would fate/hang out with.

It's Ok for straight guys to wear tights in public, but I wouldn't date/associate with them.

I wear them when I am at home or go running biking or the gym.
I'm secure in my masculinity. People can be wrong all they want, it's their fault.
I'm healthy, and I'm in shape to do so.
My clothes don't define me, and that's what makes me more manly than any other man who would have a problem with men who wear athletic tights.

It's awesome to wear whatever you want, so go for it. But I personally don't find that it looks good because you can see the bulge and it's awkward to look at in my opinion but maybe I'm just not used to it yet.

Right I've worn bike tights/running tights when doing said activities and yeah they are if not for the weird factor. So tights are not a part of my regular wardrobe lol.

My opinion is that I dont care what someone else decides to wear. However, like anyone, I make assumptions about people based on how they present themselves. I would assume they were gay.

I’m pretty sure it wouldn’t be accepted by most people. Straight guys wouldn’t wear them because they’d view them as something that their girlfriends wear. Pantyhose would be seen as gay. Tights and leggings would need a specific context.

I’ve also worked in environments where my co-workers are mostly women. Sometimes I’ve overheard them talking about wearing leggings or tights. A few times pantyhose. These days its mostly leggings. My point is, it can be a female bonding experience. Sharing about how they’re wearing leggings. Those tights look cute. I wore pantyhose to that function.

I don’t see how a guy is going to be able to fit into an environment like that. Coming into work in leggings like the gals. Straightening his tights. Worrying about runs in his pantyhose. Women don’t expect those things from men. Its stuff they see as their experience. I doubt most women want to have guys complain about not having enough pocket space because he’s wearing leggings. Him looking at his reflection to see how he looks in tights. Fixing his pantyhose. They expect him in pants. Women want to be the ones in the leggings with guy’s attention on them, so they can catch them looking their way from time to time.

I think guys should be able to wear tights, pantyhose, stockings in public without any recourse, weird looks, rude comments, etc. Women wear all kinds of male clothing without anyone saying anything rude or calling them names. These days everyone is all about gender equality etc., so why can't men wear women's clothing if they want too? There is no harm in it at all...… So whatever the reason is that men want to dress in woman's underwear, clothing, shoes, or lingerie people should compliment them or just say nothing at all and turn the other way if they don't like it. Thank you letting me express my feeling on this subject!

I dunno. Something about seeing a dude's leg hair through his tights is kinda unappetizing. So is the bulge in the crotchal region caused by wearing tight fitting stretchy garments.

I think it's ok to wear pantyhose/tights for straight guys it definitely can be a health reason, a way to build up self-esteem, and feeling sexy is very relaxing.
