Is size 4 jeans in women considered big or small?

I wear size 4 jeans and I was just wondering if size 4 is considered a ''big'' size or a ''small'' size.

depends where you are. I'm typically a size twelve, but one pair of jeans I own is a size eight and still a little big for me (when usually a size twelve is just right)

I'm pretty sure your four would be equal to my eight, don't think four is even a size over here.

It's normal I think, not average because the average nowadays is probably a size 16-18 lmao but 4 is what people with a healthy body wear unless you're really short, then you could possibly still be overweight with that size.

American size 4? That's an 8 in the UK. It depends on your height as to how small or big it is, but in general it's a pretty petite size.

@EggYeol you're 10 stone, that's hardly big. I know 10 stone looks like and BMI is actually a pile of Crap. You may be slightly heavier for your height than you should be but 10 stone isn't overweight and if you fit in a 4-6 you're not big. And yeah if you think that's big then I must be huge.

Because its my body, I am competing in an MUO Beauty Pageant and being short is already a disadvantage enough me not being in great shape makes it worse. Everyone weight looks different on everybody 145 on someone could look great but bad on someone else

Of course 145 looks different on everyone, you'll look heavier than a girl who's 5ft 9 and 145 pounds but you're still wearing a 4-6, so you're not big. And Pageants are what they are, you getting judged on your looks, it's your choice to compete.

Dunno about where you live, but where I live our sizes are all over the fuckin place and are different from store to store and even from different cuts and styles in the same store.

Most places, I'm a size 5-8... and I'm considered pretty average... so I'd say 4 is small.

In the few stores that use the more logical "inches" measurements I'm a 29 inch waist. When I was in my early/miss 20s I was a 26 or 27 inch waist and consider slim by most people.
