Is it weird that I've never had my ears pierced?

I'm a 22-year-old girl and I've never had any piercings, including my ears. I've had a fear of needles since I was a child and still get nervous getting a shot. I have also never really worn jewelry much and don't think I would even wear earrings, and my ears would probably just close back up, so I've never seen a reason to pierce them and have never had the guts either. I have noticed that it's pretty uncommon to see a girl my age with un-pierced ears.

only time I've had an ear pierced was when my sister hooked my ear and yanked while fishing. I'm okay with shots but I used to drink so much soda that when they drew blood they'd have to like around everywhere since my blood barely flowed much :/

Ouch! My nervousness of shots (which used to be full blown panic and kicking and screaming, but now is just butterflies in my stomach) stemmed from having a doctor that was not so great at giving shots and always managed to make them very painful.

I once was accidentally stabbed in my arm painfully cause the doctor sneezed while aiming the needle XD

Ow, that sounds painful! I always have to look away or I will faint, and I like to grip something or pinch myself to distract from it as well too.

my little cousins are the same way so usually I have to get shots with them to make them comfortable otherwise they scream and cause a scene

Haha, I would usually have to be held down or take a sort of calming medicine in order to get a shot, because I would be so frantic. I finally settled down when I was about 14 or 15, but I always fought hard when I was younger. Once, when I needed to be put under anesthesia to have my fractured collarbone popped back into place, I was throwing such a fit that one of the doctors just stabbed me in the leg with the shot and that leg was numb for about a week, haha. There was another shot that was supposed to prevent a certain type of cancer that I was supposed to get at 13, and I fought that so much they decided not to give it to me, but it ended up being a good thing because a family member around my age who got that shot almost died from it.

yeah some medicines can have the wrong effects on certain people, with me I just get super depressed and deprived of energy. for some reason I can drink may energy drinks but feel no effect nor be bouncing everywhere :/

Oh wow. I get super hyper after just having one of the candy slushes at Sonic, haha!

Haha, I am kind of naturally hyper anyways, as most of my family is known for being naturally very high energy. It has its ups and downs though, as it can be very hard to be still and I have bad habits of rocking back and forth on my feet while I'm standing or lightly rocking back in forth in my seat as well.

my school almost gave me detention once because I couldn't keep my leg still. I'm a very fidgety person who can't hold still to save my own life

Oh wow! Same here, at least some part of me has to be moving at all times. When I worked as a cashier at a grocery store a few years back, I would shuffle on my feet because I hated just standing there waiting for customers, with nothing to do. I was told I needed to stop because it made the customers nervous, haha.

I could never get a job like that, I'm too fidgety and also too shy

I only stayed there for two months. I hated it. I'm shy too, but it surprisingly wasn't too bad since all I really had to do was tell the customers their total and ask a few questions. Most of the time they would initiate any conversation that was had, so I could just give short answers. It was still a little difficult for me since I was especially socially awkward back then though, haha.

I'll be getting a job soon as a loader for Wal-Mart. won't be much social interaction so I'll be quite happy with the job

It's all on the matter of which would you like wearing that kind of jewelry, by the way they don't hurt as long as you don't get an ear infection

Yeah, I've never been a big jewelry person. Every time I've received it as a gift, I've forgotten to put it on, haha.

I mean that's social pressure but I don't think people would judge you if you didn't get your ears pierced before, not like they're gonna pay much attention to your ears. If else, your hair could cover your ears?

Yeah, my hair usually covers my ears anyway. I don't like wearing it tied back.
My best friend tried to convince me to get my ears pierced for the longest time, but I never ended up doing it. I felt like the maintenance that would have to be done to keep them from getting infected and closing up and stuff wouldn't be worth it if I probably would end up not wearing the earrings anyway and wouldn't get much enjoyment out of it.
