American men on the other hand were almost all wearing knee-length loose-fitting trunks. Why do you think American men are so opposed to swim briefs when much of the rest of the world seems to be embracing them?
#Speedo
#swimwear
Because most American women (especially the white girls) are lesbians, they are not physically attracted to men whatsoever, they only want to see women wearing skimpy clothing, and the only reason they ever marry men is because they want a man to pay all their bills, buy them dinner, buy them gifts, and protect them while they cheat on their husbands with other women, then finally when they finally get tired of playing straight they divorce the man and America's corrupt anti-male divorce and family courts give her the house, the car, and half of all the man's property while forcing him to pay her alimony for the rest of her life, which she will spend while living with her lesbian girlfriend.
It normal in many places in the world but somehow in the last 3 decades its become what its become in North America. It just a dam bathing suit so whats the big deal if. Ok if you have a big belly and bad body maybe you should not wear one. On the otherhand if you got a great body why not. Its not a gay thing but the younger generation seems to think so. If a girl can wear a bikini and look good so should a man be able wear a speedo type. I ve worn before and it is much more comfortable in water then stupid baggy board shorts.
Do you think men avoid it because they're afraid of associating with something they think society has labeled gay?
Yes, and its unfortunate.
I think board shorts suck lol. They are so dam uncomfortable. Why should men be made to wear baggy long shorts. Can t get a good tan and they drag you down in the water.
I find baggy trunks to be a real pain while trying to swim in particular.
Because the average American male body is no where near close to looking like these models. They need all the fabric that they can get. 😂
So you would be ok with physically fit men/boys wearing them but not men who are out of shape?
Yes, if they are somewhat in shape.
I'm not American but seeing men in speedos kinda makes me uncomfortable. My dad always wears a speedo, though. 😂

I'm a 30s fit straight American male and wish they were more acceptable, as then I'd definitely wear swim briefs ("speedos" are a brand). It doesn't help that most who do actually wear them are either gay or overweight old men wearing ones that don't fit well or way too thin/revealing, which contributes to the negative stigma contributing to younger fit straight males NOT wearing them, even if they wanted to (I am in this category). In my opinion, if you want to wear one, wear it! However, please make sure it fits well and works for your body type. Even on the models selling them online, most don't look good in my opinion as either too high cut, too square, too feminine, unflattering designs, bad colors/prints, or pouches that are far too revealing. My favorite cut and designs I've found are Parke & Ronen meridian brief in darker colors. However, ones like Muscleskins torpedo thongs, please no, never!! Also, all white just looks like tighty whities so another to avoid in my opinion. If you're in doubt, ask a female whose style opinion you trust to help you pick one. I think opinion is shifting more towards acceptance of swim briefs on the coasts and shorter swim shorts (2-5 inch) are definitely gaining more acceptance too. Board shorts below the knees just look ridiculous on almost all guys... let's get rid of that horrible style from the 90s.
The Meridian brief is a good look, very expensive though at $110. www.internationaljock.com/.../prld.xlg
I don't think it is the American men opposing them, it is the gynocentric culture of the western world making guys to be the villains in every area of life they can find.
I personally don't get this trend either not being from the west, where I come from it is actually forbidden for men NOT TO wear swim briefs at many swimming places.
I think they would be so much more comfortable than trunks, and I'm confident enough with my body to wear one, but I'm not confident I won't get a random erection which would be incredibly embarrassing. maybe I'm alone on this, I don't know if it's normal for grown men to get random boners now and then.
Random erections still show through loose trunks as well , though
I've worn a speedo before. And I have to say I'm not a fan. It's too revealing and tight for me, plus if it slips off even a bit you're just fucked dude. I wear these things called jammers for my sports, but other than that it's swimsuits.
I have a Speedo, and I find that they seem more secure/less likely to slip off than loose trunks.
If it's in the very specific right way. But suppose you dove into the water in just the right way, and the speedo would just zoom off your body
There's a lot less drag than trunks, so it seems pretty unlikely. I have, on the other hand, had trunks fall off diving into the water.
Well another thing is guys' legs are usually hairier lol
That's true of foreign men though, and they seem fine with speedos
Foreign men have a lot more nude beaches also lol they're much more confident with their bodies
In a word PORN. American men are very self conscious about their package even in the locker room. Like guys in America will get an operation to extend the length of their penis just to feel more comfortable in the Locker room, even though they get extra length when flaccid it's still the same length when erect.
I love in US and sadly find this to be true. American western culture has found wearing swim briefs as a negative thing (along with males wearing briefs). It is seen as “disgusting” and “inappropriate”.
I have always wanted to wear them yet I have never worn them as they are frown upon but would love to see them become the norm and more popular in the USA.
I avoid wearing a Speedo because I have read stories of men being written citations or even being detained by police in some jurisdictions with strict indecency laws before (looking at Daytona Beach). I do not consider it to be gay to wear one. I also do not go topless unless I am completely naked outside, or inside my home if I wear bottoms.
I fucking love speedos! Just look at the balls on the guy in the top image! But Americans tend not to like gay people or anything that gets them off.
Yeah budgie smugglers are gross. I'm Australian and our prime ministers wear them they are so gross
Australians are not known for their intellects.
Probably shame or maybe think people will think they are being creepy. It's very prudish here
good question, i always wear one when i go swimming or nothing at all
No one wants to see your floppy dick.
Did you mean floppy disks
Or flappy dicks.
The second one would be offensive to the men, while the first would be offensive to computers.
Swim briefs would actually keep penises from flopping aroind.
@ColinReid it's always refreshing for men to admit that they are gay. Good for you, sir.
And women ever wonder why Hollywood will not show a penis in a movie or TV show. This is an example, right here.
cause their hot duh
Speedos? Americans? Foreign men?
yes yes yes
Cause my cock and balls are so big that I would get charged for assault just for walking on the beach
I have no idea
Would seeing men/boys in swim briefs bother you?
They just look weird
If you were at a pool and someone was wearing one how would you react?
I'd try not to look
