Do stretch marks bother you?

Question

Like I've never been pregnant a day in my life and I haven't had a drastic weight change, my stretch marks aren't in regions other than people I'm very close to and I could see (boobs and butt). I still sometimes look at them and wish they weren't there.

What are your thoughts on stretch marks?

They don't bother me. I have stretch marks on my stomach, hips, some on my thighs (I guess maybe 'cause I'm pear shaped? My lower body was really most affected by puberty and shit, I'm still more or less the same up top but now I have the great child-bearing hips to contrast :P ), and I don't think that they look bad, so on myself, I don't mind. They're also not bad on other people. My boyfriend has huuuuge stretch marks on his back, like bright reddy-purple vertical ones, I suppose because he grew such a large amount in a short space of time. He doesn't like them very much but I think they actually look kinda nice.

I voted yes purely because it bothers me in my own skin. I’m 15 but I've had a good amount of fluctuations in my weight in the past 4-5 years. I have stretch marks on the sides of my waist and thighs, which are noticeable. I mean in all, I just don’t mind them. But I would prefer it if I didn’t. They do bother me when I look at it in the mirror, but honestly, I don’t care enough for it to be a big deal. Everyone has stretch marks, and that doesn’t define your beauty.

I got over it a few years back. It got to the point where sometimes I would forget I even have stretch marks on my butt. Only a few months ago I started to actually feel 100% comfortable with them as I had a guy tell me that they were beautiful because it shows the natural progress my body has been through which he found sexy

I have stretch marks all over my stomach. I am still in the process of losing weight (currently lost over 70 lbs., need to lose about 80 or so more). I also have lots of scarring on my back from cystic acne in my teenage years.

These kinds of marks never bother me. Most people have moles, scars, stretch marks, cellulite, or any number of imperfections. But those imperfections give us character. There are far more important things to me in terms of looks. Smile, eyes, nice figure (which is obtainable by working out), subtle mannerisms, and so on.

I think any guy who has had sex with enough women learns that real life women do not look like Instagram models. Even Instagram models don’t look like Instagram models. Don’t worry about stretch marks almost every girl has them as far as I know, I’ve seen skinny lol girls who never had fat with them

LMFAO, this is funny, just because it isn't normally considered a double standard. Guys have it too, and why isn't it as frowned upon as it is with women? I have no clue. I have a shit ton of stretch marks, half of them are from growing and all the rest are from building muscle. It's all natural, if anyone tells you different they are sadly mistaken. I have a really small figure but a big ass and I have stretch marks on my thighs and and butt. In volleyball I was super self conscious that people would judge me for them but the guys that watched our games loved them. So I learned to have confidence and sport them proudly :)
