Yeah, same happened to me around that age, but I had very round hips and thighs for my age, wasn't obese either.
Go to the pharmacy and ask them for virgin olive oil and coco butter cream for stretch marks. Massage at nights into the area until it disappears. DO not overuse it, but apply generously enough to make the area feel soft and moisturized at the end.
Stretch marks appear when there is a tearing in the epidermis, it's mild scarring really. But, if you moisturize the area, it will help the skin to stretch easier and minimize if not prevent all together tearing. This will stop you from being scarred.
You are growing so you will stretch, especially in your curvy areas. Olive oil also has repairing properties so it helps to diminish the appearance of the scars already there.
Mine appeared at the same age, first they looked pink, now white. I cried when I saw them in the pink stage, I knew what they were even though they were a different color on my mom. Eventually I got over it, and they are fading after all these years. They are almost invisible, but not everyone is so lucky.
These are stretch marks. However.. they’re completely normal! Majority of woman get them. In fact- you’d be one of the luckiest woman ever if you didn’t. I have them everywhere; the back of my knees, my hips, my upper arms, under my breasts; this is all due to growth and puberty.
However it does depend where they are. You said they appear on your legs and butt. This is puberty!!! You’re growing! You skin is stretching due to the mass amount of growing you’re doing during puberty. It’s completely normal!
You may not see a significant growth- but there is. That’s how most stretch mark at a young age happen.
I leave mine to fade on there own- the ones on my legs and arms are almost completely gone- and the ones on my breasts are as well; just waiting on those pesky hip ones!! Bio-oil is good- they’ll be gone in 4-6 months max. However yours will probably be closer to 4 or less because they don’t seem to be that bad.
Olive oil is also good. Working out helps as well- or it did for me! Speed up the fading process!
Until then- absolutely flaunt them! They’re part of you and definitely not an imperfection!
I wear bikinis and clothes that reveal my marks- people are always going to have something to say about anything; you can be one of the most beloved people in the world and still receive hate. It’s up to you how you handle it.
I also want to say; you probably think people are going to judge you; but the truth is, while you’re paranoid that they’re thinking about how “bad” the marks look, they’re probably thinking about something totally different.
And if they are; who cares! You gotta love yourself, disregard horrible opinions because in the end everyone has something to say about someone- and they have imperfections anyway so they can’t judge.
This hun, this is part of you! It’s part of growing up! You’d be surprised to find how many other 13 yr olds have the exact same thing!
OMG! Thanks a lot for your motivated opinion!<3I got all strength from your words.. Thank you. I was worrying all evening about those red lines and thinking how I can make them fade quickly. And does it mean I'm overgrowth or something? I'm only scared about that as many people guess my age like 18. Lol
No not at all! Puberty tends to give a major boost in growth, pretty much everyone goes through a big growing stage, I got them when I was 13, so I wouldn’t even worry about it. They quickest you can get rid of them is a few months. They won’t disappear straight away, it takes time💕
Definitely stretch marks.
Stretch marks don’t go away. But they fade to where you can’t really see them. Yours are likely just from growing, and are not a cause for concern.
Over time, they will fade until they become whiteish streaks and ultimately until they just kind of blend with your skin. Don’t worry about it. Imperfection is beautiful 😊
They are stretch marks babe. You shouldn't be ashamed of them. But I have heard cocoa butter helps. At Dollar General they have lotion like that for pregnant women because they get stretch marks.
Don't listen to the guy who said that you will be overweight. This is 100% factually incorrect please do not listen to this person.
They are stretch marks but they are a completely normal part of puberty. The pituitary gland in your brain is causing hormones to be released that cause your body to develop rapidly, your skin just couldn't keep up if it tried to grow normally.
Stretch marks are extremely common and should not be considered ugly. I totally understand your insecurity though, I was very self conscious about mine when they started appearing.
THIS DOES NOT MEAN YOU WILL BE OVERWEIGHT! I have them and I've actually been 15 pounds underweight since I was 14. The same thing for my friend who's a girl. I know tons of girls who have them that are 100% healthy. A lot of them are even proud of their stretch marks because they're like battle scars from the awfulness of puberty lol.
As the body grows (I'm not just talking aboiut people p putting on weight, also like when your 13 and going through puberty and growing) people some times develop them, for many they will go away. Kidshealth. Org has a great article on stretch marks (sorry it won't let me post the direct link but it shouldn't be hard to find.

Everything I'd say and more.
Stretch marks aren't rocket science, you don't need to see a physician and they aren't permanent.
Stretch marks are scars. Scars fade with time. Depending on how severe the scar is and how well you take care of your skin will determine whether it'll fade to where it's basically non existent or still be visible.
Just because you still have visible stretch marks doesn't mean every stretch mark will be visible for everyone on the planet.
If you can't see it, is it really there?
Just because I've never had a stretch mark doesn't mean I have no idea what I'm talking about. I've had scars and a lot of them have faded to where I can't or I can barely see them. Anyone can google or experience that scars fade. Do you like to like to stir up bullshit? Because it seems like that's all you do when you respond to me.
You are the one who definitively said "they aren't permanant"
And yea when you have experience in something your opinion is valid. Stretch marks are different than a scar you might get from getting a cut as that is topical whereas a stretch mark came from the inside and literally pulled the skin apart obviously there are varying degrees but they do not heal the same or fade away the was other scars do. You don't know what you are talking about.
You take what I say very literal. If you got a scar 1 year ago and it has faded, is that the same scar as it was year ago? It doesn't look the same as it did 1 year ago. It could be faded to the point where it's no longer visible. So if you can't see it, is it there? A little over a year ago I cut the distal phalanx of my thumb a little over halfway through and since scars can fucking fade... WOW, it's faded to the point where it's essentially non existent because you have to look REAL hard to see it in good lighting! That was deep cut. It's much worse than just tearing the epidermis, I cut through the dermis. DEPENDING on the SEVERITIY and what you do to treat it so it fades faster, reduce the scar pigmentation so it blends in better. Stretch marks and scars is when the the dermis is damaged, they're technically the SAME THING with the exception that they have different causes.
Fuck you bitch and begone.
I've got a bunch of stretch marks on my back from growing when I was a teenager, hate to break it to you but they've been with me for over fifteen years. I don't think they're going anywhere.
Yes they are. They're just natural. I have some as well
Yes they are but there's this cream, I forgot the name of it but it's specifically for stretch marks using only natural ingredients
Over tine they will fafe, but like a lot of girls have them don't worry about it
I doubt it. They look more like general skin blemishes that occur in teens. Talk with your doctor. Cocoa butter lotions are good at evening out skin. Try that between now and when you see your doctor
Yea they are stretch marks and I have never ever thought that stretch marks were any problem. Let your flaws be loved.
I honestly wouldn't worry about them, I think everyone understands they're stretch marks and it shouldn't matter much. You're still beautiful either way 😊
Yes they’re stretch marks there apart of everybody’s body.
yes these are
1st one may disappear
but i dnt think 2nd one will disappear without laser treatment
talk to doc
S/M have nothing to do with obesity just like cellulite. Those sure look like S/M. And I've heard they are there forever.
Nothing to woory dear... It is kind of strech mark which happen while we reduce weight/fat. Applocation of oil will be helpful. Otherwise it will go off if again when fat is developed.
They are stretch marks. More and more marks will keep on coming. Have you visited a Doctor. This is due to hormonal imbalance an after effects of puberty. something is wrong with your body. You will surely be overweight.
This guy is completely and totally wrong. If you're concerned, definitely ask your doctor or a parent to explain them to you, but from what you described there is NOTHING wrong with you and there is no reason to believe you're going to be overweight.
@the guy who posted this, you're either a complete and total idiot, or you're a cruel and disgusting man who's trying to upset a scared 13 year old girl.
Do not listen to her sweetheart sure its a good idea to visit the doctor but bc you wanna make sure that you're growing with the right vitamins and all that and also bc prob your period is coming soon but your not overweight and almost every teen has strech marks i rember i had a friend who had a loot of strech makrs on her legs and she was not overweight at all... her skin was just growing so they appered theyre nornal yes? :)
Dont worry. Coco butter. Helps, it's because your body is actually getting thiner
Honestly go consult a physician and see what he has to say.
Your body is just growing dont worry about it, it will go away on its own because I had some on my waist and their not there anymore
Yeah their just stretch marks and they will go away
Remember your 13 your body is not done growing so dont worry about it
No problem
I really can't judge from those two pictures. Seems like some kind of rash or something
Apply olive oil every day it will help disappear your stretch marks.
your boobs are growing big so it will appear dear.
Yupp.. it is.
Which place?
You can actually halt its growth.
Stretch marks primarily occur due to decline in fatty acids.
Keep the area as much mosturised as possible throughout the day.
Bio oils helps.
You can also look for omega 3 supplements.
Consider using these :
Aloe Vera
Olive oil
Coconut oil
Hyaluronic acid ( capsules or extract)
Lemon scrub.
Yes they’re stretch marks.
Don't worry they will disappear because you're a growing girl.
