Do you wax?
If you do, does it hurt?
What kind of wax do you use?
What steps do you take to make sure it goes well?
Is it better than shaving, or does it give you good results?
I don't wax... i realize this is mostly aimed at girls. But here is what little I can offer:
Does it hurt:
Yes. But different pains effect you differently. Some kinds of pain you don't mind as much, or pass faster.
My sister was trying hair removal products before her wedding. I am not very hairy but I have some hair. I let her wax a strip of my chest.
It hurt. It was certainly not pleasant. But after giving it a moment, I was ready to do a second strip if she needed it. The discomfort is brief, and not the type of pain that makes you say "not again!"
better/good results:
Unlike shaving, you can't cut yourself. Some people break out a bit after shaving, and I had no breakouts where I was waxed. Because the hair was pulled out, it took longer to grow back (I was curious, so I used my razor to shave a small area that night, and compared how long it took to regrow). And your skin is super baby smooth.
Because you have to do it less, the results look and feel great, and it doesn't irritate your skin as much or cause a mild break out, I'd suggest it could be worth it.
And I'd imagine waxing legs would not feel near as painful as waxing chest.
I know I am not a lady but I got recently surprised at the barbershop with a sudden waxing. It is for me not that bad. I didn't even flinch when they pulled off the wax. They guy in the chair next to me however really squirmed when it came time to pulling off the wax...
You should definitely try waxing, but please go to a salon first!! Since is your first time, and you said you shave, your body hair is not gonna be "soft", and waxing hurts, so going to someone who knows what they're doing is the best you could do. The first time I did it I was probably 14, and my mom took me to this salon she used to go to. Im glad I went to one and didn't start waxing myself.
It hurts, more or less depending on the area. You will get used to it though :)
The best part of it are the results. After waxing, you say goodbye to hair for probably 3 weeks!
For sure!! You could ask for different styles of bikini waxing, but being your first time I don't recommend going all the way and asking for a Brazilian wax (which takes all hair out) but instead ask only for the bikini line. Remember there's nothing they haven't seen before! Good luck girl!!
i used wax once... and never again... it let me very iritated, for many days in a row... it dosent worth the pain (and i have a high tolerance at of pain) especialy when there are beter options
my go to method is sugaring... its home made and natural, much more less painful, and it dosent iritate you at all, it sticks only on dead cels, so is not agressive with your skinn and it exfoliate it, it washes away with water (wax is a pain to remove), the results last longer and after fregvent use they may become permanent
for me is a winn winn
yeah... search it online... its basicaly a paste of sugar, lemon and water... you can find tutorials how to make it and how to use it... please lok for instruction, it mak it so much easyer
i used it on legs, armpits, and bikiny line... its also good for face , like upper but i dont nned that, so i didn't tried
after you got right the mixture its important to let it cool down to room temperature... always ceck... you dont want to burn yourself, it may seem ok a t first but can it stll be hot in the middle
for best results is important to have clean and dry skin...
wikihow have some good tutorials
I started waxing at the same age as you. I used to use an electric lady shaver before that, but I did not like it. Always stubbly! My mum said to go to the same salon as her for a full wax. It really hurts for a few seconds, but is worth it!
I would recommend you go for a proper salon waxing, as they have all the expertise and all the right lotions.
Like I say, the finish is smooth for several weeks. I think it is worth it.
All depends on how fast it grows back. I go about every 8 weeks. You have to let in grow back a bit so the next waxing has got something to stick to.
I have a waxing kit. First try it at a salon to see how it goes. I like mine but it takes too long to use so i mostly shave. But i like it because it keeps it away for longer.
It does hurt a bit (not that bad) so put your hand on the spot afterwards. Its also really messy so have a towel you dont want underneath.

Waxing defiantly does hurt that why I only shave and not wax..
I mean basically imagine if u have tape... Like the packaging tape or duck tape... Have glue to it ( optional ) and stick it to u.. Wait a couple min then yank it off
Imagine that
It hurts like hell
My advice is just shave with razor and shave cream
I've tried to do it myself, I find it difficult, because of the angle and it's hard because you anticipate pain. I don't mind epilators though. I've used sally Hanson wax and wax strips. Sugar wax. And yeah, I just prefer the epilator.
I would get it professionally done if you’ve never done it. It doesn’t cost much, and it’s about as much pain as pinching yourself. Overall worth it and not a bad experience, plus your legs will remind you of a sleek smooth dolphin.
I just got professionally waxed last week to see the diffrence from shaving and its so much better. Yes it fucking hurts lol but its worth it because the results are so much better than shaving.
I used to shave. But have recently tried waxing strips. They take forever to get all the hairs and are fairly painful. Not worth it for me. I’m hoping to try something different instead.
I was my eyebrows and they look good and only hurt for a split second. Haven't tried it anywhere else though.
Yes, but I would suggest sugar waxing, look it up it can be made from stuff at home, it's also less painful
Forget home waxing kits. Have it done professionally if can afford it. If not, stick with the razor.
Once. It hurt so bad, I would rather have hairy legs. Now I strictly use razors.
From what I know it does hurt and it hurts a lot, if you really want to risk it someone who is experienced in waxing to do it, As a suggestion you should stick to shaving.
I'm wondering the same thing. I mean waxing sounds like it's much quicker.
Yep, it hurts, never buying wax again.
Can't say that I have but I imagine it would hurt
I waxed my butt... hell of a pain
Depilatoty cream works just fine for me.
Um what is it you want to wax
Ladies but we can answer too I didn't
