Does anyone else want to share their first time experience with Brazilian waxing?

So, I had my first Brazilian waxing Friday and here are the results for me.

First, I was really nervous even though my sisters have had them done and a ton of girlfriends, I was still apprehensive about it based on mixed opinions I was given, but here are my 3 pro's and con's.

PRO'S:
1) Wow! I love the look of the skin after it is over with, smooth as a babies bottom, even though it is a little red. It is so silky smooth with no razor burn marks or bumps, I love it!
2) It takes longer for the hair to grow back out again
3) It grows back thinner each time you do it and will eventually not grow back at all.

CON'S:
1) OMG! The pain!
2) OMG! The pain!
3) OMG! The pain!

My service provider, Brandy, told me that some girls scream and then stop her after the first patch removal and leave saying they cannot take the pain. I did mine all the way through. I figured if I could let a guy spank me on occasion, I could take this... lol

Brandy said that it is less painful each time.

Please tell me what your experience was like and if you got all the way through it and or went back for a second time and was it less painful the 2nd time as much as the 1st for you?

Yes, I had about the same experience you did the first time but got through it.

Yes, I have had it done on multiple occasions and everything you said is correct

Yes, I was one of those who screamed and left before the procedure was finished!

No, I have never had it done and after seeing your 'Cons', I think it will stay that way

I've been having regular 6 weekly waxings (obviously not during the pandemic) for some ten to twelve years now, and as the saying goes "No Pain No Gain"... I'm just so, so glad I managed to get through those first few sessions.

Just bite your tongue or lip darling and keep at it, I can assure you will never, ever regret it

Yeah the first time there was definitely pain involved lol but it is true for me at least, that it's not as bad each time you do it. The smoothness is always the best.

I started shaving myself at a very young age. Then when I was around 18 decided to go to an esthetician for the first time and couldn't do full bikini because I could not handle the pain. Decided to buy my own waxing pan and do it myself and ended up with be with a dried patch of wax down there and begging for my mom to pull it out because I simply couldn't do it myself. How embarrassing and painful. Gave up on the idea of waxing myself down there and decided to keep shaving instead until one day when I found out what laser is and it was the best decision and the best investment I've ever made. It was painful the first few times but it gets better the more you do. This was over eight years ago and I'm still smooth and hairless down there.

I've been getting brazilian waxed for years. I wish you were right about the hair eventually not growing back. It always does. I took a break during covid. It was like I never waxed. The pain has definitely lessened to the point that it's almost painless. Hair grows in cycles. It takes maybe 3 appointments before you get them all. After that, you will be smoother for longer.

For me, the waxing lasts about a month. I usually touch up with a razor about half way through and leave it to grow for the last week. I can't imagine not getting waxed. I love everything about it. The look, the feeling, the appointments. My provider, Melissa, is hilarious.

I actually rather enjoyed it. Yes there was pain but oddly some of it was relaxing. I just tried it for the first time this week. I love the smoothness of it. However I still left my landing strip the rest is bare.

Think about it: you can easily pull a tree sapling out of the ground when it's 3-4 weeks old. Let that sapling grow a year, and it will take all of your strength - and probably wet ground - in order to pull it out. Let it grow 5 years, and you'll need serious earth-moving equipment to pull it out.

It's kind of the same way with a hair follicle. When a hair is pulled out, it will start to grow again, but it starts very thin and is much easier to pull out again, and as it grows, it gets thicker and stronger and will be harder to pull out. If you wax again within 2-3 weeks, you're pulling out very thin hairs that pull out much more easily. If you wait 4 or 5 weeks, you're getting back to full-strength, full-thickness hairs that will hurt a lot more to remove.

I have regular scheduled appointments though, done it dozens of times... just don't let it get too long and its not as bad. Once a month at the least, if you grow faster maybe bi-weekly.

I can't say I've noticed it not growing at all after all this time, still grows.

This isn't something I have experience with, so I can't comment directly, but I *do* have a request: remember this experience. The next time you find yourself scared by, say, a spider, remind yourself that you're the kind of person who pours hot wax over her crotch, lets it harden, then tears it off- what exactly is a SPIDER supposed to de that exceeds that?

I got waxed before my honeymoon. I thought the scrotum would hurt the most but that was actually relatively pain free. The area above the penis... That hurt. It wasn't unbearable pain though. It was really silky smooth after, and i appreciated how long it took to grow back. The only reason I haven't done it again is I can't justify the expense when shaving works just fine for me.

So I got mine done for the first time a year or so before the pandemic and I actually found that the pain wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. So I just toughed it out and enjoyed the results. lol! I will say though that because I had that lower then I thought pain level the first time the second session was a so much worse. I continued with it for about a year and found that I didn’t have the money to keep going. I might get back in to it though if I ever get a girlfriend again though!

You get used to the pain, it gets better with time and my first experience.. I can't remember, I just know I did it on my own and it tooke me really long

I've had it done several time and really its not that bad. It doesn't feel great lol but its really not that bad. Take a couple ibuprofen before hand, it will help with the pain a little as well as with the irritation after. A word to the wise though... make sure you are EXFOLIATING! At lease every other day.

The reason it becomes less painful is because you desensitize the area. I don't know how sensitive you want the parts that are growing hair; but for my money I actually like a full bush. I know that I am just a random guy on the internet that you will probably never meet. I just wish more people wouldn't go to these lengths to be hairless.

One thing you don't hear very often. But laser does not work on light colored hair. The laser can't see the follicles.
