I am fckin terrified lol. I normally just shave bare but I’m going to try getting waxed soon and my tummy just hurts more and more everytime i think about it. I’m going to get a brazilian wax and I’ve already booked at this nationwide chain. But now I see this local place that does sugaring/sugar waxes which sound less painful. However the lady sounds very complicated with how she wants people to go about paying/booking. Still, I’m wondering if I should cancel the chain and book locally instead? Like all of the local lady’s reviews are 100% and include vajacials whatever tf that is while this chain that I’m going to has mostly good but also some bad recent reviews. Someone at the chain said “It is my first time, why tf am I pouring blood like this? You literally ripped my skin off!!”. And then a lot of the reviews are saying they went through all that pain just for a lot of the hair to not be removed. I’m fckin terrified 😩 I don’t drink but should I take pain meds beforehand? How should I prepare before going? I keep hearing something about exfoliating? I really think I just rather keep shaving 😭🙈 What if my cooch is too swollen to have sex later that week 😂💀 #FeelFreeToList
684 opinions shared on Fashion & Beauty topic. It’s definitely going to hurt and more than likely make you shed blood , you are ripping hair out of your skin , so it’s definitely something you should really consider if that is worth it to you , Are you doing this for yourself or doing this to appease your boyfriend? If it’s to appease your boyfriend than don’t do it , it has to be your decision , everyone has different textures of skin , if your skin is sensitive then you will be taking a higher risk of suffering skin irritation and possible ingrown hairs etc. which suck big time and hurt like hell , I have sensitive skin. So I just stick to shaving or trimming , so to really know what your outcome will be , is hard to say. Only you can determine that , based off of your experiences from shaving. I know people that had waxes and they all told me it wasn’t that big of a deal and they were glad they did it , and I heard others say completely opposite. So it has to come down to your decsion if it’s something you really want to do , if your boyfriend is telling you he prefers you to have a waxed vagina , then tell him you prefer waxed balls as well and see what his reaction would be. Me personally thinks shaving is better than waxing , cuz it doesn’t hurt compared to having hairs ripped out of you. It’s your call and your decsion and your vagina lol

1 yWhy not go with nair? Same result, way less painful. Then you can put the brazillian money aside for laser treatment, which is way cheaper in the long run.
113 Reply- 1 y
Lol i legit asked my mom should i just nair down there. But the thing is, can nair go on/between the lips? I thought nair was for the outer portion
- 1 y
I mean... be careful with it, you don't want stick it 4" up and squeeze it like you're trying to squirt the chocolate eggs out of the bunnies at Easter time or anything. That's how we get chocolate eggs, yeah?
Nair is pretty thick. Put it on your labia majora, no issues. If you're "an outie" then... I dunno... tuck that shite in or put your finger there to cover it. Only takes about 5-10 minutes... do it sitting on the john so you can keep an eye on it if you want. I use it on my ass crack and have no issue and that's arguably as much of "not outer portion" as I'm going to have to deal with. If it gets out of place, just wipe it off, it's not like an immediate caustic burn or anything. Icy hot feels WAAAY worse. - 1 y
Im an innie. And lmao u put it on your ass 😂 what u tryna doooo freaky ass 😏
- 1 y
I had arthritis hot on my hand one time and forgot and felt down there and yea just no 💀
- 1 y
Nair asking for too much lol—
Before using Nair, always test a small patch of the cream onto the sensitive area before applying it to the pubic hair.
Avoid getting Nair inside your vaginal canal or near your rectum to reduce the chances of infection.
Coat the vulva, vaginal canal, and rectum with a layer of petroleum jelly to prevent the cream from getting inside.
After waiting for a few minutes (between 3 to 10 minutes), wipe off the cream with a soft washcloth. Do not use a plastic spatula to remove the cream.
After the cream application, if you experience severe burning or itching sensation, immediately wash the area with water.
- 1 y
i mean nobody likes a mouthful of fur and looks cleaner on video
- 1 y
why did mf'ing plastic spatulas even come into the mix here? That's a bakery I am NEVER gonna eat at
- 1 y
I always go bare. I just wanted to wax so it wouldn't grow back as fast
- 1 y
well yeah that's why i'm saying... go with the nair... lasts me like 10 days.
don't use no spatulas. don't use no salad shooter. don't use no kitchenaide (unless you have the noodle attachment)
No don't use it then either.
I mean they put warnings on everything. "Do not stop saw blade with hand."
Do not eat paint chips. Stop eating the paintchips. little Booper (my nickname as a kid) why do you have a bag of paint chips?
I mean putting them in a jar seems dumb, whatever.
I turned out largely not the opposite of something that could one day evolve into okay. - 1 y
oh and get the aloe not the cocoa butter one. the cocoa butter seemed harder to clean off and sometimes you just don't want lotion involved
- 1 y
I just hope i ain't allergic. All this stuff got me
Nervous 😂 - 1 y
test it on your arm or something you don't need first... that way if it's not finna go well you can chop that mf off and throw it in the fire. right as rain.
wait that may be what you do if a zombie bites you... let me check that - 1 y
Lmao you are hilarious

1 yI bc won’t lie to you; girl, that shit hurt! But the smooth silky feeling that follows, AMAZING. Up until hair starts to grow. Personally I like resin wax that dries up and doesn’t require strips. I find sugaring to actually be more painful.
But just have headphones in and listen to your favourite stuff. The burn should subside after an hr but if you have sensitive skin, be sure to wear close clothes and panties that won’t shafe? Is that the right spelling? Noooo thongs. Your persona should be able to recommend you something for your post op.
also vagifacials are fantastic. It’s like a regular facial but for your kitty. They extract ingrown, put fancy shit to calm the kitty and prep the skin before the next waxing appointment.
23 Reply- 1 y
Wow what is resin wax? These places only offer beeswax and sugar wax. And yea im not a thongs person lol. And how do i know that i won't be allergic to their vajacial cream ol
- 1 y
Resin dries hard on hair and you pull the resin off instead of placing waxing strips. I don’t know what beeswax is but maybe that’s the same thing. You have to ask the people what they’ll be using before hand. Most of the stuff shouldn’t cause a reaction but you can ask to sample test on thigh before hand
- 1 y
Yea they charge just to test on the thigh lol
1 yI would book with the local place. I don't know if sugar would be less painful, but it would likely be a person with more experience and a higher motivation to not get any bad reviews. Also you'd be supporting a local business! 🤗💀
If you're very scared you may be able to ask them to start with just one strip, too. I've never gotten waxed but when I got my first tattoo I was so scared, and the artist offered to start with just a short line and if that hurt too much I could stop there (though obviously you would still have to pay regular).

This is what all the local lady is requesting. She seems complicated

1 yDon't stress about it too much luv, I'm sure it won't be that bad. From what I've heard it does hurt for a sec but then it’s over quick. A girl I knew first time getting waxed wasn't too bad, just listened to some music to take her mind off it. Yeah it pulls on the hairs but only for like 2 seconds each spot. Then it’s smooth after!
As for what you should do, I'd say go with the local place if their reviews are that good. Sounds like they know what they're doing more than the chain. And sugar wax is supposed to be less painful too. Maybe give them a call back and see if you can pay and book with them still.
Definitely exfoliate before to make the hairs easier to remove. And don't worry about being swollen or sore after, just take it easy that night with some ice or a heating pad. You'll be all good by the next week for sure!
It's tough the first time cause you're nervous, but honestly once you do it you'll realize it's not THAT bad. And it lasts longer than shaving so less stress in the long run. You got this girl! Just take some deep breaths and relax as much as you can while they do it. You'll be so smooth and happy with the results.

1 yWhen my girl was in esthetics school like ten years ago, I went in and let her practice by waxing my chest. It was…something, lmao. The pain was new to me, but it was tolerable…. but it was also just my chest, to be fair.
I guess I can’t speak too much on the pain aspect, but I do know she said they ask you to get in some crazy positions while you get it done. Like they might put you on all fours, or have you on your back/side while you hold one leg up…. they get ALL UP in your business, haha. So be prepared for that part, that would be what I’d want to be ready for if it was me😂
13 Reply- 1 y
Yea i heard about some knees up to the chest butterfly position
- 1 y
Yeah, lmao. Oh, and as far as the bleeding…. it’s like little droplets of blood. Pretty sure that’s normal, especially if you’re new to it. My chest bled a little, haha. But honestly, it just hurts for a second after they pull the strip, I don’t remember any extended soreness or anything, nothing significant anyway. I think you’ll be ok, haha. As far as the update, I don’t think they would let a razor on the plane, but you could buy some when you land, if you’re that freaked out about getting waxed. I’d say just try it, though, just to say you did it, haha. It’ll last you like a month, I think. You got this💪
- 1 y
Thanks haha
1 ySo... it's not going to hurt as much as you think but it's not going to be painless; however, it's bearable, and I don't recommend sugaring mainly because some say it might stimulate hair follicles that are in the resting state which can cause the increase in hair growth on the surface of the area that has been waxed.
11 Reply- 1 y
Holy smokes
I've been getting brazilians for years. Not surprising, some estheticians are better than others. Early on, I thought that ripped skin was part of the process. Eventually, I had a treatment that was relatively painless and no tears. She treated me until she retired.
Pay attention to the reviews and avoid anyone that rips skin. Also, over time, the pain lessened to the point that it wasn't uncomfortable at all.
DM if you want more info.
14 Reply- 1 y
They never named who ripped their skin so I don't know who to NOT ask for lol

Of course there's the odd negative experience - as this review suggests...

623 opinions shared on Fashion & Beauty topic. First I want to make clear I have had no direct experience but I think pain killers mostly work on ongoing pain rather than YOUCH that hurt sudden pain. I have heard of blood stories too.
I'm a bit surprised waxing is still a thing when there is laser hair removal. A girl had her armpits done and she told me it just felt like she had sunburn. Might have been bad sunburn :)
Why not just put some razors in your carry on and if they confiscate the razors just buy some on the other end? Hotels tend to supply complimentary razors, though they are crappy. Save the money and pain I think.

1 ymy cousin wife does them and she said the first time it may hurt if you’re pain intolerant but afterwards it won’t really hurt that bad. Self-care afterwards will make the process well worth it. I know people told me that they can’t wear underwear or anything over the area for some weeks. However, it all depends on who’s doing your wax as well. I always wanted to do this wax but I just will stick to shaving lol I’m scared! I even went to YouTube

2.3K opinions shared on Fashion & Beauty topic. I get a Brazilian wax pretty often. I am actually getting another one tomorrow. I also got my first wax at a nationwide chain. You have to be careful because sometimes they don’t know what they’re doing. The lady I had was amazing and it was painless. It’s important to exfoliate before your wax as well. The pain definitely depends on how good your waxer is.

I promise I have zero pain tolerance and it wasn't horrible
- 1 y
What all would you recommend for preparation and after care
- 1 y
Not much you can do for prep besides maybe trim a bit depending on your level of pubic hair lol.
After care, lotion of course.
Witch hazel works well on any of the initial little blemishes after. - 1 y
I was bare. I was told i have to let it grow for them to wax
- 1 y
What kinda lotion
- 1 y
Yeah it's gotta grow a little because they have to have something to actually pull out.
Just depends on what lotion you enjoy. Coconut oil works well. A mixture works as well.

1 yLOL,
Are you going to have a woman do it or are you willing to get spread eagle in front of a strange man for 10 minutes?
04 Reply- 1 y
Omg you’re making it worse 😂😭 I don't know what i’ll have because they assign you someone
- 1 y
"Assign" you?
Maybe for a wuss. You get what you accept. If you don't want a man then tell them. How would a man even be given that job anyway, but I know it occurs. If they say "we only have Doug today" then just cancel and leave and say I'll re-schedule when it is a lady.
If you are a passive wuss who is not assertive then you'll get what you get. If you are take charge and are willing to cancel and refuse a man to be stuck down there with you spread and with your butt in the air in his face to get the anus area then you'll only get what you are willing to accept. - 1 y
Some places have men on staff for this, some don't.
ASK ahead of time.
If they only have women then no worries. If they have BOTH then you'd have to speak up and say I'll only accept a lady and I'll cancel if you try to assign a man.
They usually will accommodate you just like a massage place. - 1 y
As odd as it sounds, im way more comfortable with a guy looking down there than a woman. But i feel like a woman can relate more and understand the pain since they also have a vagina. Either way, idc if i get a man or a woman. I just want someone who knows what theyre doing
