Just wondering since Latin America has the reputation of having an abundance of Thick, Curvy women and also because the vast majority of Latin America was heavily influenced by Spain throughout their history, it makes me wonder if Thick/Curvy women are not uncommon in Spain.

No, Latin Americans are curvy because of the African genes (and the tropical climate of some of those countries or areas adds to it), those with more African mixture have curvier bodies. The body type does not come from Spain I don't know why the world thinks that and even Italian women are a little curvier than Spanish women.
