Its acceptable in summer but it’s more a traditional hygiene issue. Going sockless in shoes is just recent but don’t try that in the food or medical fields! In fact most banking and government institutions still require socks and nylons to be worn. Frankly i think sandals are fine with casual clothing such as shorts but stick with the norm of shoes for pants. Our culture just hasn’t gotten there yet

I dunno. My boyfriend wears flip flops all the time when it’s warm. It’s fine by me, and nobody seems to care because they’re all wearing them too. If he ever wore socks with sandals, I would be thoroughly embarrassed by him. Socks with sandals is never a good look. Thankfully, he never does that.
i guess it's because of fashion.
i'm from bahrain and you normally see men wearing sandals when they wear traditional clothing or just basic clothing, and it's never really a problem. i personally am attracted to it because i have feet fetish, but i mean, only if their feet's clean 😃
? Not accepted? what? That's weird...
Normally people wear covered shoes and in the summer a bunch of people wear sandals. Why would they not be accepted? People don't wear sandals when it's cold, or their toes will freeze!
From what I've heard, the US has generally a weird approach to feet. Like, fetish, it's unacceptable to show them for some reason and and and.
I, and everyone I know (except some boots-only guys) wears sandals in summer.
But PLEASE, no socks
It has a lot to do with climate, I believe. Even within the same country. The guy in the first picture would not look out of place in Miami but he’d look silly with those sandals in New York City.

Many people do accept them, but those who don’t want men wearing sandals are loud as such. If the rest were loud too, those with that odd belief would quickly shut up as they get labeled as crazy. It is nothing more than bias and there belief that feet need to look good and be groomed to wear sandals. Who says there shouldn’t be tools and kits for men to groom their feet and make it to not look like biscuit? Who says they should be seen as a strictly feminine only thing? Just because it started with females, does that mean guys can’t make their feet look good? (I don’t mean nail painting, although that is still a personal discretion, to each their own)
Only hipsters and elderly women on holliday wear sandals round here.
When would they be preferable to shoes? They're not dressy. They're not flexible. They're not extra comfortable.
I wear them sometimes working in the garden, but more often I just go barefoot.I don't judge people, if a European man wants to wear strappy shoes and carry a purse that's his business, its just not my cup of tea. Though to be fair I have very large testicles so that could be why I'm not a fan of it.
I don't care honestly. I personally don't ever wear sandals though.
I don't think it's acceptable anywhere away from the beach, unless you're wearing a diahdash or a shalwar kameez etc...
Here on the west coast, everybody wears sandals and people don't mind if they do or do not.
Looks lazy and slothful... and most guys have ugly feet/toes
I think it's all got to do with culture differences that's why it's different
for Men to wear sandals in the USA.American men have ugly ass toes
I love them they are confortable, your feet breath and it's perfect in summer.
Because it looks goofy.
I don't like sandals on men
More interested in what girls wear 😂😂 sandals, heels wedges etc etc
They’re not? (Accepted I mean?) ... says who?
Is socks plus sandals accepted somewhere? Lmao.
