Should I get a white ink tattoo or black ink?

I'm fairly dark skinned so I was wondering which one would look best for me. I don't want the tattoo to fade or not be visible. I've never had a tattoo before either.

Unless you are willing to get it touched up every 6 months, do NOT get white... it’s a total waste of money. Black would show enough, but if you want it to pop more, then do a dark color to contrast your skin tone. If you have a slightly reddish complexion, go with green; if you have an olive complexion, go with purple.

I say do a black one i if that's you in your pfp then i don't think you'd be able to rock a white ink tatto that much, i think we might have the same skin tone and am going soon for a black ink one, i mean those are my thoughts a green one could work to i guess but they don't show that much.

White ink tattoos can turn yellow/cream after they heal so I'd be aware of that. Maybe a colored tattoo that will say its true color would look good.

You should talk about it with your tattoo artist. They will go through every step of the way with you and make sure that you don't regret your choices. Most tattoo artists are very accommodating for first timers and will answer about every question

Depends what are you trying to get, is it going to have color or is it going to be solid black/solid white and what's it actually going to be.

Cause if it's going to have color and some black in it you can probably just use your skin like I've never used white ink on my skin because my skins white enough it's unnecessary.

Black, I am pale with tattoos, and have tattoo artist friends, white and yellow ink fade into obscurity on all skin tones. Chartreuse and white ink is completely invisible on my first tattoo I had seven years ago.

I think white ink will look nice and be more of a pop. But it will fade faster, just from what I know about tattoos (research, family, friends, etc).

I don’t like tattoos, but if I had to pick one I feel I might choose white or something that looked like a much lighter skin color for dark skin. What would you want your tattoo to look like and, if I may ask, where?
