Will my suede shoes get damaged if I put them in the freezer?

So, yeah... I read on the Internet that you can put water in a bag and put it in your shoes and freeze them in the freezer for them to stretch, but I can remember someone saying to me once that they put their suede shoes in the freezer and it damaged the suede but I'm not sure, so can someone tell me?

Doesn't sound like a good idea. If you really want to care for them, try inserting cedar shoe trees and then putting them into a flannel shoe bag and keeping them in the box, that they came in. To protect against water damage, spray them with a silicone based suede/nubuck water repellent, for protection against rain and snow.

I didn't say I was going to put water on the shoes.. I said I was going to put water in a bag and put that bag in the sole of the shoes and put it in the freezer so the water in the bag freezes inside the shoes..
