So sick of that trend. Everywhere I go, there's stomachs flashing, entire breasts flashing, and buttocks flashing. Barely any girls dress classy anymore. When I do see a classy vintage girl though, I am blown away even more than before because she is a rare sight now.
Saw a girl like this below in Rockabilly (1950's) style the other day. Nothing beats that! Rockabilly girls > crop top/sweat pants/yoga pants
The are times where you should wear the appropriate clothing.
If casually it's fine but if you are going to a job interview you probably want to have something more suitable.
There are people who think you should be able to wear anything anywhere but there is appropriate clothing for appropriate times.
the double standards between men and women is shocking. a man can run around shirtless but a woman showing her midrift raises some eyebrows? its your body, and as long as you don't wear it to work, then i don't see any problem.
I disagree. It wouldn't be ok for men to show their stomach in like a shopping mall, but it's ok for women.
@PrettyRegular i see shirtless men all the time especially those fit models promoting a store, yet no one bats an eye
I think too that everyone should always wear shirt outdoors, unless in the beach.
@PrettyRegular i'm sorry, but i disagree. i don't think anyone should have say on what adults choose to wear in their free time. my problem is how women are usually subjected to different societal rules. i'm all for 'my dress my choice' for both genders
Ok. I think that it's a public place for a reason. Showing midriff is fine, but maybe being shirtless could be a bit awkward for others and I don't know, is it a part of the good mannors either.
Some men need to stop talking about what is "appropriate" for a girl when they walk out with no shirt sometimes. It irritates me that people can't mind their own and let others wear what they want.
That and the women that cosign those type of men
🙌🙌🙌
I'm guessing the person asking is from a less developed country.

Girl... as in... teenager or woman? Either way, it depends on where she is going. If she is going to school, a school concert or an interview; that's not appropriate. If she's going to a club, rock concert, staying home; that's okay! It's too hard to say for sure. The mall might be fine too, but for a fancy dinner... of course not! Then there are those who say 13 is too young, and 40 is too old to wear this style. You can't win. Lol.
Nope. Unless you're talking formal wear, then it is.
I wore a crop top once... got a few comments, none directly but I did over hear one granny doing the whole "kids these days" spiel.
Probably doesn't help that I was mucking around with my Poppy (grandpa) calling him an overgrown woman XD I must have sounded horribly disrespectful but thats just our dynamic!
Never wore the crop top again though. I still own it, just haven't had another day where I've felt so bold.
I used to but I'd get criticized or weird stares from bigger individuals. Told I shouldn't wear it that it looks terriible.
Only certain kinds of girls wear that.
Pointing out all my flaws. I work hard for my body I didn't feel ashamed to be proud of it at those times.
It's not my business what others wear. If they feel good wearing it , why would it matter about what I think? People can go out all naked and i would't care as long they are minding their business and am minding my own.
No. There’s nothing sexual about ribs or belly buttons. People need to get a grip.
LOL... everyting is sexual...
It's only appropriate if she's not fat & has a flat stonach. I see a lot of girls wearing them with rolls hanging out - that seems highly inappropriate to me
The one girl at the gym last night had shorts pulled way up, and a top that only came down so far, so she had midriff showing. I figure that was for attention
Depends on where she is. If at a funeral yes. If on the beach no. Mostly no, but there are occasions which she should cover it up.
Maybe not inappropriate, but definitely unprofessional
im practically naked in my profile picture so i think its obvious where i stand on this subject... Dont Give A Fuc
I find that very hot, actually. Especially if she's on the thick side. I consider it a personal victory of the day when I see a cutie walk around showing it off.
Perhaps you should stop worrying about what women are wearing and simply exercise self control and quit staring.
Not automatically. But certain situations/occasions or certain body shapes call for covering. Which (obviously) is not universally known.
No but it depends on the occasion. No matter how good your midriff looks, don't show it if you're meeting the queen or have a job interview.
Considering I practically live in crop tops, I don’t think so, it’s just a midriff, no biggie.
For me if I am comfortable than I can wear anything
is this an actual question?
this is 2018! wear whatever you want
Depends. Lile if she's fat or flabby it's frankly gross.
No, unless you're religious or live in the middle east or something.
Definitely not in a professional setting such as an office! But a night out on the town or even a weekend camping... then sure why the hell not!
