UK includes both England, North-Ireland, Scotland and Wales. I've noticed that the question "Why are British people unattractive?" and the opinion "British people don't look good" is common on the internet.
In my opinion, the reason why the stereotype exists is that, unlike Americans, the Brits don't have a problem putting average-looking (but of course, very talented) people on telly or on film.
When was the last time you saw an average-looking actor headlining a new TV series or film in Hollywood? And, let's face it, people tend to extrapolate (rather nonsensically) the attractiveness of celebrities (TV stars, film stars, models) from a particular country onto the general populace of that country.
For example: there are people who have never been to South Korea or ever interacted with a South Korean who, because of watching K-drama or K-pop, think that most South Koreans would look like their favorite gasoos - which, if you've ever been stuck in a sea of humanity on public transport or in a shopping mall in Seoul, is clearly a ridiculous assumption to hold.
Was in the UK several times. British people are far from ugly. America is the fattest nation on planet. It is weird how stereotypes stick. But factual information does not.
It depends whether you mean British or English as 'British' as is a broad term for those born here but can come from different a multicultural background.
For example I'm born in England yet I have Jamaican parents. It all boils down to genetics and their background. Like most countries there is both good and bad. You can't look at one group and say that it speaks for all.
The people who says British people are unattractive are thinking of white people from the United Kingdom. I knows that, since some of them have said it.
Off course it's possible to be none-white and still be a British person, but people are usually speaking mostly about how the majority looks like.
When people says they finds Norwegians exotic looking, they're mostly speaking of white, blonde, blue-eyed and tall people. Not immigrants, refugees, adoptees etc.
I've heard that too, one time a guy told me I have British features. Not knowing what that meant, I told him that my country was run by England before independence so maybe there's some bloodline mix from there, it was afterward that another guy told me he was calling me ugly.
I don't think you've any typically British features. You looks African-American to me. Mostly African genes, but a little bit European too. You looks normal, so no need to worry.
I wouldn't necessarily say African either because jamaicans don't have the same features even though we're all black. By fact. Hell there was native Indians brought there too- so of course line will be mixed The dude who said that to you was being asshole. Your beautiful either way

You do realize you're talking about an ENTIRE continent that is absolutely MASSIVE as in nearly every other land mass on this planet can fit inside of Africa, right? And that there are countless features throughout the entire continent. Jamaicans definitely do have Afro-centric features, because that's where their ancestors are from. To say they don't have African features is wild...
Because Brits have no distinctive features going for them. Germanic, Nordic and Slavic people are tall, thin, often blue-eyed with blonde or ash hair. The Mediterranean people are darker and more exotic.
Brits don't have a distinctive look. I think it is actually because the climate in Britain is weird. The cold makes people taller, while the sun makes people darker. Brits have neither the sun nor the cold.
I think it is a bit of a stereotype But there are some theories that the Vikings actually carried off so many of the pretty girls from the British Isles that it affected the gene pools both in the isles and in Scandinavia Not sure I buy that theory but it is kinda funny if it is
Such a broad statement. There are millions of them who are attractive but In regards to British people not being attractive, here is what cause that stereotype. Bad teeth- too much tea drinking and alcohol + smoking Lack of morals - there is hardly no loyalty in relationships Promiscuous culture - almost every British girl will use the system to stop you from seeing your kids and use them to get government funds - but that's becoming an issue around the world
I've always found British people to look the same as Americans and Canadians. Such large amalgamations of people live in those countries that it's hard to give them a definite look
Same as with all (or most) stereotypes - there's *some* truth behind it, and as we all know, people love to take intellectual shortcuts and stick with their prejudices.

Yes because Harry styles, Tom Hardy and a number of other British Hollywood heart throbs are all extremely ugly. I'm British myself and just seeing how dam fine I am proves this to be untrue 😂
You can hate all of it, it's you're choice. Personally, for me, it depends on which "dialect" and the sound of the voice behind it. There's "Standard British/The Queen's English," Northern, Scouse (Liverpool area), Yorkshire, Southern (Cockney is usually a southern one), Pompey (Portsmouth), Kentish, London, Sussex, etc. I like certain dialects, but some others don't work for me personally.
