I'm legitimately confused by this, and really don't know the answer, so any girls who can shed light on it would help-- how do girls lose their eyebrows? to the point that some of them start drawing them on? Like, where do they go? Do they shave them, or something? And if so, why would they do that? I usually see it on girls who have nothing wrong with the hair on top of their head, so why the eyebrows? Any help appreciated.
In the 90’s up to early 2000’s, if you had thick eyebrows you were made fun of or bullied... it was a trend.. that girls had to have super thin and arched eyebrows and bushy eyebrows were for men only... so most girls as usual follow trends and would tweeze the. Out as much as they could to shape them into a small arched line...
The gangster girls would go an extra more by shaving them off and painting them back on lol with a sharpie marker xD.. just awful...
And THEN... Cara DeLevingne came into the spot light with her extremely Chewbacca eyebrows making the media talk about her and since she was soooo pretty so many girls started to copy her... then the kardashians also copied her and those who follow Kardashian’s also copied them! And thus creating the new trend 💁🏼♀️ Bushy eyebrows are not the thing... the bushier the better as you can see from the photo you posted, she even went on to shade them in even MORE instead of leaving them natural... which in my opinion this too much as well as almost none... she would look better with less shading and more natural. But most girls just follow copy others.
It’s not weird... it’s actually very normal... people follow trends... when you get older your kids will think what you did was weird... how you dressed or did you’re hair etc..
Vast majority of people will always be followers or they feel left out.
That's sad.. Why can't we just have our natural eyebrows? (both the girls who have thin eyebrows and the girls who have thick eyebrows) I dread the day thin eyebrows will come back in fashion because I have thick eyebrows and thinning them too much won't suit me.. My sister who's just there years older went through this.. She was made fun through middle and high school for her brows
@gothgirl97 I don't know it just takes a good looking person to do something nice or awkward and it will be something most will want to copy... it’s weird...
I imagine to enhance but seems like alotta maintenance lol. I dunno how they would lose them rofl. I remember in my youth my sister and best friend for reasons unknown both shaved their brows and drew them in for long while. Sometimes a little too thick and dark it was ridiculous. I know at times they would scare me in the morning when I'd wake up cause they look like aliens since this was before the ritual they'd go through to draw/paint their face for the day rofl.
I haven't lost my eyebrows. My brows are just so light, because of my blonde hair that they are pretty much non-existent. I have a lot of hair on my brows, just no color. Which is why I enhance them with makeup. Eyebrows are a really important feature on the face.
Also, some women who have awfully shaped brows prefer to shave them and draw them, instead of having to pluck them every week or so.
It's a trend.. They shave them/wax them completely at a beauty salon and then redraw them with a pen.. As another user said, 10 years ago, it was the opposite. Woman with thick eyebrows were made fun of.

I don't think that, I know that. Some blondes, like those who you know, were just lucky, but genes are different for everyone. Some women are hourglass, and some are rectangles, and those are things that you won't change
I wonder sometimes if these things are like shoes for women. Do they do it because they genuinely like it themselves, or is it sociatal pressure, they think its expected/ the done thing or because guys like it. I say shoes because my Mrs buys shoes and can't get to the end of the street in them.
