Imho the women look great, but the men just look awkward as hell.

It's just how it looks. For the women having their thighs out like that suits them, but for the men it looks like they just didn't have any clean shorts to wear and just wore their girlfriend's.

Now I'm NOT saying that men must wear super long shorts, either.

I've got a pair of short shorts I bought at a thrift store for an 80s themed party. Underwear wasn't an issue for me as wear briefs (as nearly all men in 80s did as well). I was surprised that I actually liked the way I looked in them.

I also have rather short swim trunks that I wear when swimming in public.

I don't know maybe cuz guys tend to have more hairy legs while girls tend to not since we shave and the legs seem more "soft".
