What period in history had the best fashion?

I've asked this question earlier on GAG and written an answer in the post.

"My favorite fashion periods are the Victorian and Edwardian era in Europe. I also think the ancient Chinese, Japanese and Korean fashion looks beautiful in some periods (can't remember the names and year). I'm speaking of general speaking. It doesn't mean I like everything. I think foot binding is both disgusting looking and a bad tradition. Corset may look good as long it's not exaggerated, but I doubt they're comfortable.

My favorite fashion items from the 1800s and early 1900s are the hair bun on women, the full beard on men, the feminine dresses, the nice traditional suits, hats, coats combined with scarfs etc. I also likes the Russian round fur hats. They looks especially flattering on cute feminine young women. I do find classy Victorian goth style like Vanessa Ives' beautiful.

I'm not into alternative styles (like heavy goth, emo, punk, cyber, unnatural hair colors etc.). Most young women nowadays dress nice although it's not as classy as the past. Men however depends on which group they belongs to. Some artist friend groups dress good, but most guys in my country doesn't dress good. They just put on some random baggy jeans, t-shirt and may wear none-matching colored clothing. Especially the elderly. Both the young and elderly in the 1800s dressed impressive if they could afford it, but nowadays most elderly and many young doesn't dress that nice although they've their bank account full of money. My least favorite is the fashion trend where tribes wears big lip plates, scar their skin, covering themselves in mud etc."

I also thinks the fashion in the 1940s and 1950s Europe and North-America looked nice. I think in many parts of the world the fashion went downhill after the 1950s. It was especially noticable in the 70s. After 2010 it starts improving again. The early 2000s fashion was awful, so thankfully I was younger at that time and didn't care.

40s and 50s are the periods I like the most. Although I think that today's fashion is better.

I'll go for the 1980s where dressing modestly was still a thing, people were exploring different styles and wearing bold colours.

For me, it was between the 30's and the early 60's. The women as well as the fashions were so beautiful, classy, feminine and sexy.

I like elements of nearly all decades of the 20th and 21st century, but also dislike other elements of these same decades. For instance, underwear fashion before the 80s is just a no for me.
