+1 yEverything after the 60's was absolutely dreadful. People don't know how to dress themselves anymore. I used to think the 80s were horrid but people day are even worse.
Best modern eras for me are the 20s, 40s, and 50s. I dress in these styles every single day.I'll also list an underdog from a pre-modern era. People of the Renaissance had class and impeccable style. The colours, the fabrics, the prints. WOW.

There's nothing new that has come out since 1985 that I'd say is better than anything that came before. But the typical woman today seems to think that showing the most skin or wearing clothes that re too tight/reveal everything is some kind of virtue. Actually it's the opposite in my opinion.

True a lot do look trashy these days lol.
556 opinions shared on Fashion & Beauty topic. Born in the 80s, grew up in the 90s. Every decade has their own style and I try to take styling tips from every era and incorporate them to today’s. My mom has a closet full of retro yet still chic and stylish clothes from the 70s even 60s. I’d wear them anytime!

Women today don't even come close to her class and style. I'll also say Gene Tierney from the 40s was incredible as well.

@Wraith_Cemetery I agree. There were so many gorgeous women from that circa 1940's - 60's. My fav is Hedy Lamarr, a gorgeous actress and inventor. She co-invented spread spectrum technology which helped prevent the Nazi's from jamming radio signals, and today it remains the base for cell phone, fax and other wireless communication technologies. She was ALSO the first actress to ever appear with a nude torso in a major studio film - little known fact.
+1 yVery late to answer but I LOVED the 90's fashion. I was both an older child and teen during that decade on I got to try on a lot of cute fashions!

90's Hats were so cute!
The infamous choker!
Overalls was the shit back then!
I got something that looked Similar at Limited Too and it looked WAY better than this one! I got to wear ALL this during the 90's and even a little bit in the 2000's!
Thanks for the question!

+1 yI couldn't vote for my favourite because there was no 1960 option. Those were the days of micro minis and Gogo boots. My 2nd option is the present. Again short dresses and mini skirts in the very sexy skater style and full, flippy pleats.

+1 yWe get bored of everything we see all the time. Now imagine how it would be if the fashion of the 1960s came back. I'm really bored with the current fashion. We can live in 1990's fashion for a while.

Anonymous(30-35)+1 y1980s and 1990s were the coolest eras in my opinion. People today are into vintage clothing are dressing like the older eras as mentioned. I don’t care much for trends. A nice vintage tshirt, some fitted Levi’s with some classic air Jordan’s even 20 years now is what I will still wear even if people say “ew that’s so out of fashion”. I don’t care I’m not dressing to fit some cultural-fashion norm 20 years from now.

The parts that most don't think about are the ones that were absolute train wrecks.
