Never mind the time it takes to put on but when you have diarrhea and desperately need to relieve yourself. by the time you get all those buttons undone, the mishap is long done.
But I admit, clothing had style in those days but it was also the sign of a certain social status only.
Nowadays, even a "hobo" can wear a pair of jeans and he can be mistaken for a rich person compared to the way some dress with holes in their pants...

Pretty cool and fancy.
The clothes are nice, especially the "peasant" clothes.
It was ridiculous. However, it was a slight improvement on the 16th and 17th century fashion which was even more embarassing.
It's fancy af... But it looks like it needs to be maintained a lot...

Requires too much maintenance, and the wigs are ugly.
Looks too much like a judge's robes.
Simples...Powdered wigs were one of the things the Romantics rebelled against.
Doesn't seem like it'd be comfortable at any time it'd be sweltering in the summer and your legs would freeze in the winter.
Ugly. Just so ugly. The dumb wigs and pony tails. The stupid shorts and knee highsocks. Its also all very feminine.
I just LOVE this fashion. I even ordered such a garment from a tailor (he had to study a book about 18th century patterns, before he could begin his work). I think this is one of the best centuries for men fashion.
I’m more of a Civil War, and 1920s-1960s kind of guy. Though I do love Tri-Corner hats.
Different. Kind of too girly for me
Kinda funny looking, with a feminine twist.
I love that look. I have a lot of clothing from that time.
I actually like it though that was very thin fabric which is why they always had so many layers of clothing on
Pretty impractical these days with central heating everywhere.
I don't know why they wanted to make themselves look elderly
Interesting to look at but super unattractive
I would not wear the wigs
It seems like a pain in the ass to wear
