My understanding the fad started during rodeo times, guys would tuck the shirt above the buckle so people would see the buckles won for rodeo tournaments. That is where the "buckle bunny" term came from.
Why would not needing a belt be something to show off?

Shows that they fit properly. Have you ever been shopping, much less for jeans? They're really hard to get to fit everywhere and still look good. This question is kinda of... silly.
It's just a fad so that they look pulled together- yet casual.

The shirt flares to much making it unflattering. Tuck it in you can see her figure better maybe?
To show off her groins lol... obviously they love it and wanna show their vagina
Practicality and aesthetic

Almost like a bragging thing
Wouldn't needing a belt indicate you're slim if anything?
I guess it could, but her skinny jeans already do that.
I don't know why everyone seems to be doing that either.
I thought that y'all would tuck in your shirt all the way around
I don't do it.
Even an oldie like me knows this is the style and has been for a while. Personally I love it.
its because the outfit looks better with the shirt tucked in but some of us dont like it how it looks from the back so we only tuck the front
That's what I thought, but she was tucking for every shirt, regardless of length
there's no sense or reasoning behind female clothes. it's all about looks, not about function.

It's to look slimmer and to look more put together. Same as rolling up your sleeves. It's a trend.
Seems like one of those stuck-up basic fashion-crazy forever 21 pumpkin spice latte freaks
She shouldn't have to , if she wore a proper blouse it wouldn't hang low enough😉
its a french tuck and usually used with oversized clothes to show off the clothes underneath of the figure
it's a "style" that's meant to show off the front of the pants.
Fashionable or we don't like how it hangs
I do that if my shirts are too baggy 🤷♀️
Just the front?
"She" does it with everything she wears though.
Yeah it’s just a style and a trend
Do you do it?
Sometimes
Its a trend, just like anything else.
Looks better. That's all.
