I think if a church has a dress code, it's not much of a church in my opinion. They should take you as you come. It's not a fashion show. Other than that if there is a dress code you should be asked to leave
There is no inappropriate dress. Only people with some lame perceptions. People should mind their own businesses instead of putting their nose in others matters.

Only I would let it slide, if person actually has nothing else to put on... Like going to funeral with jeans and sneakers, as he is homeless and has nothing else to wear.
In case someone on purpose wearing swimwear to church, funeral,... This is just being mentally ill or wanting all attention to themselves ( narcisistic, mental illness again)...
Entitlement basically. The rules don't apply to them sort of thinking, but the thing is they follow rules all day long, so to say, they disagree with a dress code, and then they go on, going the speed limit, paying taxes, things a lot of people hate to do, but they do it, they aren't rebels, it's just disrespect..
Schools do often have dumb dress code rules that are often sexists, I agree, I wore a uniform for 6 years, but you also agree to go to that school and follow those dumb rules, so if you don't like them, you and everyone else are free to go to another school, right? The thing that gets me on this, is if someone asks you to please come dressed like X, and someone ignores that---it's a sign of disrespect. No one is forcing you to go. I get that personal freedom is so valuable to some people that they can just never be bothered to follow it, and they are of course free to do that on their own time, but literally every place on the planet has a set of rules that they ask people to follow and it's all good when it's someone else's thing or place or school you don't care about, but I'm not say cool and I doubt you would be either with like someone showing up to a funeral in a skin tight mesh body suit---just because they can. There is a time and place, and if a wedding invite says dress is formal, show up in formal dress or stay home if you can't be bothered.
You have some very strict codes (depending on the religion) but most it's generally frowned upon if you look like you came from the club or the beach and straight into church.
Well, that depends. If it's work related - I believe they should be fired; if it's a church thing, I say good for them and may all. the religious fucks go blind as far as I'm concerned. You see, I hate cult members more than I hate attention whores.
Honestly i hate it. We have dresscodes for a reason. Why not tf just follow them? You will not die if you dont flash your stomach or shoulders. Like gtfo if you can't follow such simple shit
@ZeussLightningBolt I doubt god really care what we're wearing to be honest so long as we have a good heart and good intention that's the most important.
Honestly, I think so too. This Ukrainian girl I talked to said her parents yelled at her for wearing flip flops to church. I told her, did Jesus wear sandals?
I mean, I will follow those dress codes because I'm obligated to, but I agree. I really don't think God will care if I wear shorts or a rock n roll t shirt to church. The MUSLIM god might care, but not OUR god. Dress codes are just another way to control people. Notice how it's mainly religious places that have strict dress codes. But at the same time, aren't you against public nudity? Speaking of which, if it was up to ME, we'd all be running around naked. :p

I want to know what makes them feel so entitled that they think they can disrespect the "host" of the "event" when everyone else is following along.

I hate dress codes. Most are pointless. Wear what you want except for avoiding violent words or images.
You shouldn't have a dress code unless absolutely necessary.
So, for instance, if you going to go on a spacewalk, you need a spacesuit.
They are doing their own thing, why shoukd anyobe care? I can say many schools have stupid restrictive dress codes. Like not showing your shoulers?

I really don't like when women come to church dressed in inappropriate styles of dresses, like they're at the club.
Didn't even know there are dress codes for church. Wouldn't that be a sin any ways? (Pride)

Fair enough.
Here's what I think...

I won't go after them or anyrhign but I will probably judge them and keep it to myself Im very not one of these people

They are rude and inconsiderate. Thats all to it.
I support them, i find dress code to bed stupid and useless.
Me too for the most part?
How do you feel about dress code in places of worship?

Completely reckless and stupid. There’s plenty of hours outside of the day to wear what you want outside of work!
*outside of work and school
It’s quite simple. If you disrespect dress codes, you are being disrespectful.
Some societal boundaries need to be pushed. Specifically in a community type situation. In a work type situation it’s disrespectful to bosses.
That they're disrespectful and therefore deserve no respect in turn.
My MP recently did the same and blamed the backlash on sexism. Though her excuse to me was worse than her conduct.
I find it disrespectful to the people there.
Dress code is there for a reason.
