Where I live I have seen women wear their Ugg boots in summer in the heat on occasion over the years. I personally stop wearing mine when it hits 65f but have been stuck with them in the heat a couple of times when it warmed up more than I thought or once when I was super late to a doctor visit and didn't have time to grab socks but was outside for under 5 minutes total that trip.
I have not thought much of it because I just guessed that it was people with no choice but this summer so far as been crazy near me. Normally Ugg season is over the middle of April here but in the middle of May, it was still going full force for and even now women here are still wearing them a lot. Just today at two stores I saw like ten women wearing them.

I mean more power to them but did I miss a memo or something? I almost want to take mine out of storage so I don't stand out now lol. I guess maybe its because of COVID and people just not caring.

I hate uggs, especially in the summer. Im more of a sneaker or flip flop in summer.

As for why, its because they were a big fad at one point. Also, they are just generally comfortable and easy to slip on. Everyone has their tastes. Some love boots, some love heels, some love sneaker!

@Afrenchgirl That's weird maybe I just notice these things more because I went to Europe last year for two and a half weeks in late spring and stayed in Belgium, Germany, and Italy and the whole time there were just two days where I felt it was cold enough that I wore mine. But I saw women wearing them nearly every day in all three countries and the most in Italy.
