Which do you think think is more important when it comes to beauty: symmetry or the beauty of the features and proportions?

I saw your poll and was taken aback. Isn’t proportions and symmetry for shapes and cones? Girl no one created his or her self. We opened our eyes and found ourselves in our various forms and body types. Now it’s individual duty to mold, shape and model our individual selves into the person we so desire to be. Self exploration comes to play, getting to know yourself truly and working on improving the negatives, while you fine tuning the positives. In the end beauty is in the eye of the beholder; this saying is so true that’s why different things, traits and individuals attracts us.
Symmetry has been proven to make people more beautiful. If you have beautiful eyes, but one is misaligned to the other, you will be more distracted by the fact that the eyes aren’t in the same spot. Or if the nose is normal on one side and wonky on the other, that will be distracting
Couldn't fit in the box. I like anyone appreciates good looks, but proportion comes into my judgement as well. They can have oversized qualities as long as they match the rest. I love a woman rear of its large no problem. As long as it not out of perportion with the rest of her
I can't tell you which is more important, but I will mention that complete symmetry gives people and unsettling, artificial feeling. There are limits to everything. I believe we should love people for their flaws, not despite them.

Nature suggests that we look for symmetry when choosing a mate etc. And babies love a symmetrical face.
Ultimately, we find what we find attractive, regardless of proportions.
Of course symmetry matters. If you had wonderful features and they were not in the places, or close to the places, you were accustomed to seeing them in, how beautiful would that look to you?
Symmetry means is left is identical to right, so an asymmetrical face could. mean having a scar, having a slightly bigger lid, stuff like that. Your comments sound more like you are talking about proportions
I understand what symmetry is, though there is no such thing as a perfectly symmetrical face. However, scientific studies have shown that the closer a face is to being symmetrical, the more "attractive" it is found to be by the general public. I'm saying that if your features were not where you're accustomed to seeing them on a human face, you'd find it grotesque, no matter what the proportions. There has to be a certain amount of symmetry present, or humans reject it as ugly, regardless of the proportionate size.
Yes, i know that, but the question waswhther symmetry is more important than the features and proportions, not if it is important at all
Understood. I think it IS more important to most people. However, I'm more turned on by the features.
Symmetry. This has been confirmed through multiple sociological studies done on the nature of human attraction/sexuality.
So if someone is ugly but in a symmetrical way they are hot?
Gollum has a quite symmetrical face. That is what i am wondering, does that make him hot?
Uh, no. Gollum also isn't real and doesn't have realistic proportions. I didn't say that proportion wasn't important-- it is. Very. But symmetry is simply slightly more important, as is evidenced by landwhales-- unproportional-- still being considered as "pretty" by some betas merely because they have symmetry. A symmetrical face and body.
Ok, I guess Donald Trump and Sarah Jessica Parker are better examples, not that they would be ugly, they are just not known for being hot. I pesonally think proportions and the features are more important, that is ewhat sets apart someone like Natalie Portman, Antonia Iacobescu, Adriana Lima or Angelina Jolie from Sophie Turner who look more average even though they all hae symmetrical faces. Antonia Iacobescu doesn't have a perfectly symmetrical face, yet she is mpre beautiful than others whodo.
But each with their own opinion I guesz
"and the features" ... and then you proceeded to list people who literally all have symmetrical features.
Yeah, but it isn't the symmetry that makes them beautiful, as I mentioned Antonia doesn't have as much of a symmetrical face as Sophie Turner, but she is much more beautiful to me. All of them could have a scar a slightly bigger lid, and they would still be more beautiful than other people with more symmetrical faces but more plain features
Well something about symmetry, like when you mentioned a scar, is that the *big important* features have to be symmetrical-- a scar is a more minor consideration, unless it's such a large scar from such a large injury that it indeed caused the big facial or bodily features to become asymmetrical.
Yeah, but the point was symmetry itself won't make someone with plain or unproportional features beautiful and some assymetry won't make someone with great features and proportions not beautiful, just like not having the perfect proportions won't make someone not beautiful (like having a slightly rounder/longer face, or slitghlty bigger nose). It all depends on the degree and how they mix together. Of course everyone would be more attractive with more symmetry, but perfect symmetry isn't actually that attractive. If you take pics of people and make them symmetrycal out brain thinks something is weird.
Yeah obviously they logically would need both to actually be attractive but like I said, lots of beta males still go for symmetrical landwhales, but you don't see as many chicks or guys with asymmetrical features getting shacked up.
Honey beautiful woman has qualties in her looks and even more inside her with what comes out of her ita a complete packages the way God made you. As women one should just appect for 99% of women are beautiful in their ways.
The range of symmetry we find acceptable is much narrower than in either proportions or features.
Personally I think they're all equally important I mean you can't have all the equations without doing the variables
Just whaf works for the person an a bit of make up to high light best feautures
I swear women worry about the dumbest little things
Can she bring it? Is she smart? Then everything else. The Army calls it high speed low drag
