Clothes represent a variety of but mostly they represent what happens to be au courant in fashion with a bit of comme il faut. The hoop dresses and whalebone corsets that were worn by European courtiers was mocked by the general population but you wouldn't show up at either Buckingham Palace or Verasaille without the de rigeur fashion. Much of this was uncomfortable, almost impossible to put on and taken off. Men ordered the pants to be cut tighjtly and would tell the tailor to include a few codpieces with any suit. Only function was to make their bulge look bigger. I'll bet their were some pissed off female courtiers when she found out the massive cock she's been hungering for all night turned out to be a piece of rubber on a needle dicked Duke. According to the (only men) of science until Marie Curie their was no such thing as an orgasm for women so no one in the Royal society of academicians gave it a secong though. In the late Victorian age MDs did quite a business when women came to their business came in complaining of nerualgia concerned and docs. put them on an often person powered vibrators. They would come home rosy cheeked and in a much better mood because they were given exactly what they wanted/needed. It became such a fad that doctors who specialized in only making women cum would eventually get thrown out of the community and the girls wold go back to quaffing laudanum (alcohol + opiates). I would havekilled fot a position that required me to get girls off all day and take a break with a but of laudanum
I think that clothes that you wear most naturally unquestionably reveal something about you. I think the clothes other people WANT to see you in are also very telling. I have a bunch of people telling me that they want to see me looking metal as hell with black leather, tats, and a motorcycle. Whether or not I actually do that; it definitely made me wonder about the kind of energy I put off that people assume I would look more natural that way than I do wearing polos and playing golf.
I don’t know if practically speaking it actually works. But I will contribute this interesting tidbit, an observation I made in highschool:
The same people who argue against dress codes to defend their right to self expression, complain about being judged by their looks.
This position is self defeating. Either your clothes accurately portray your internal self and you can reasonably be judged by them, or clothes are not a form of self expression and it’s unreasonable to judge someone on those grounds.
You can’t have it both ways.
I dont understand what has that to with dress codes. I just want the have the same right as men who are allowed to show off their body and their nipples without consequences.
@hi_it_is_me123 the question was if our clothes reflect what we are on the inside. The only thing your nipples reflect about your insides is the existence of mammary glands.
To some degree I think it can but I believe you'd have to know a person and their personality to say for sure. Personally I like people who follow their own way of dressing regardless of fashion trends which are constantly changing. I live in a remote area where most of the people are farmers, farm hands, ranchers, cowboys and college students so I don't see a lot of diversity in dress here at the high end. Regardless, I think it's a fascinating question!
Can I ask you a question
@ManhattanMan1212 Sure...
Do you date guys according to their penis size?

They only reflect what you are feeling when you make it so - everything else are opinions and garments, and like Herman José, a comedian comedian, writer and actor says:
"Opinions are like vaginas, everyone has they own, and only the ones who want to give it!".
("As opiniões são como as vaginas... Cada um tem a sua, e só a dá quem quer!)
PS - That is not a chauvinist comment, just something funny in the way he does it...
Good question. But if I dressed innocent... it wouldn’t mean I was it would be an outfit to suit the occasion I was attending. But if I’m not going somewhere I do find on hang over days I like to wear ripped jeans and bare feet... so that’s my inner ‘wrecked ho’ exerting herself 😂😂
I would say that if you dress well, you probably have some confidence and feel good about yourself. That’s not always true, but I think it can be sometimes. Also, if you dress a bit out of the norm (not in a bad way) or boldly, it might mean you are a quirky or fun person. That’s the message I get if I see somebody dressed like that
In some ways, yes, but not 100% 🕺 I am a dandy who loves vintage suits, elegance and has some conservative values to match the old-skool style 🎩 But looking clean doesn’t always mean being clean (my mentality is not the cleanest and I have a criminal record). I often tell people, “I need to look clean on the outside, to hide all the filth underneath!” 😈😅
Nahh. I look lazy in wearing sweatpants all the time and im still quite energetic
Our styles are linked to personality but every style can be toxic. But really it is more like clothes makes people gives you the impression based on your clothing. Even if you really a good guy but you're dress up like a wife beater, anyone can assume you're just acting nice.
I mean i can go from goth to floral princess so what does that make me?
usually it does give an idea, esp if you have more specific styles.
depends how you wear it. assuming your not goth or alt, it probs gives the impression that your sophisticated, minimalist & care about how you come accross
Sometime we dress up, sometimes we dress down. But I think, in general, what we wear is a manifestation of who we are and what we think like. Example: I wouldn't wear a t-shirt that supports an idealogy that I'm against.
I mean yeah if you dress well. You tend to feel good about yourself and your body. It can be anything. But if you wear sloppier clothes. Then you don't seem to be focused and be a little lazy. That's what I have found. Personally.
No. People think i am naive, innocent etc. shit just because i am virgin and wear extrem modest clothes. I also think majority of men dress the same including male sex workers. I mean if it really reflect it, then all men would be whores since their clothes are no different than sex workers
Are you turkish
Yes they do. We make a conscious decision to choose clothes that send out a message about our identity.
Considering Context/Setting is important. A persin wearing gym shorts to the gym vs at work had two largely different implications on personality, but I do think considering context and setting, clothing reflects our personality.
Yes
I think it's a way to express one's personality
And, if wanted, even a way to be sexually desirable
I mean, of course they do.
The clothes you wear are your choice, the way you choose to present yourself says a lot of things about you.
Yes why don’t you post a picture of yourself in a dress
most definitely reflects who you are... duh... im not goin to wear some shit i dont like or a brand i could care less about...
Sumtimes unless someone dresses 2 hide they innerself
Speaking as a naturist, clothes are just masks people hide behind because of the fear of people finding out who and how they actually are. They "need" clothes to show an image they want people to perceive as real.
I think for most people, their clothes reflect what was for sale at Wal-Mart.
