Is it weird or embarrassing for a guy to wear a onesie in public?

I've never worn one in public, but if you saw a male wearing a male designed onesie of say a shark or a monster, what would be your thoughts of seeing this person at a store or random place?
It's weird to wear one in public
It's not weird in my opinion
It's generally weird unless it's at a certain time or place where it's more welcoming (Late night movies, late night holiday fireworks, etc.)
