Here are some pictures of (in my opinion) attractive women (both before and after).
I often hear how men prefer natural, makeup free women but most of the time it's just them liking the "no makeup" makeup look.
In these befores and afters you can see the reality and then a decent still in limits makeup look with around average amount of foundation and makeup (no "caked" faces).

Great question! I really enjoyed reading the opinions on this one. I wear makeup to cover up my perceived flaws. But tbh I get hit on more when I'm in sweats, no make up, and my hair is up. But I'm female and we tend to compare ourselves with other females so we are always trying to level the playing field. I honestly think that even if all the guys in the world said they hated makeup, we would still wear makeup. On the flip side, guys can sit there and say that they prefer no makeup but 8 out of 10 times they would be more attracted to a girl wearing makeup than to one who is not, if a choice was right in front of them. It's just facts.
No its not facts. More female delusions. My girlfriend i specifically chose her because she doesn't wear makeup and thinks its whorish and wrong. I agree. Immediately turned me on to her. On the other hand a girl i was talking to works at sephora and i just can't. No. No.
I don’t wear makeup because I have sensitive skin plus I think the chemicals are bad for the skin. I have a minimal skin routine anyways with natural ingredients. If I do wear makeup it’s occasionally and I take it off right away. I think makeup for women can make them seem intimidating and less approachable. The warm smile looks like a sneaky one. Take off the makeup, and you have a more approachable girl. When I did wear a full face of makeup, I looked like a totally different person it was scary.
I like natural-looking girls, but there's no doubt that SOME makeup will look better on most girls. But most guys are going to prefer makeup that is "natural look" over makeup that is gaudy, "high fashion", "ethnic", or is in any other way extreme. No blue eyeshadow, no "Egyptian eyes", no drawn-on eyebrows (especially the weird ones), etc. Makeup should look like it's at least remotely possible that she's not wearing anything more than eyeliner, even though we know she's usually wearing more.
All the girls you posted have makeup of the style that nearly all guys would be fine with.
i 100% ALWAYS agree about the eyebrows. But the wings or "egyptian eyes" can be really hot on some women. My girlfriend rocks them extremely well. I hate blue eye shadow though. Kind of makes me think of trailer park hookers ngl. Especially on the really fair skinned girls. EEK!
It's up to the girl of course, makeup doesn't bother me but when it's out on daily even when at home I question why it's necessary, feel like the media have caused girls to feel bad about their natural self.
In other words I'd pick no makeup anyday because with the natural look what you see is what you get and I just find that look much better. It's rare to see a girl out anymore not wearing makeup :/

It is rare but it's understandable. Many feel like they have to look good 24/7 because of many reasons (social media, certain men expecting women to look the same all the time, etc). I personally wear only eyeliner and mascara but I feel like it's not enough. My skin gets red and irritated easily and men really are attracted by perfect skin which few women are born with.
Trust me, if any man is not attracted to someone because they have a bit of acne or "irritated" skin then they aren't worth your time of day. You'll find the right person who sees you for whom you really are and will not care one bit about that. ;)
I see what your doing there but it's not an accurate and fair comparison.
There isn't a single natural pic up there, a girl that always wears makeup with no makeup on isn't natural, she has messed up her skin by always having makeup on. The makeup and harse chemicals used to clean it off every day Jack up her poors and cause acne, and sense there is always makeup covering her face it is now unnaturally pale cause it gets no sunlight or tan. Taking off makeup does not make you natural, after so long of wearing makeup tou basically need makeup.

I mean sometimes the natural look is better (I think the girl in the middle is a good example of that), but I don't think that's what guys are saying. I think they're saying that even though girls with make-up tend to look better, we prefer to see (more or less) her true self over a version of her that might not be an accurate representation of her true self. As I'm sure you can tell, the first and the last girl look like completely different people when they have that make-up on. And it's kind of shocking when you see them without make-up, and it doesn't feel good to feel like your partner has to have their make-up on for you to feel normal seeing them. So the problem isn't really with make-up in general, it's when you look like a different person.
No, they don't really think that. There are, in fact, two explanations to such proclamations:
1. They prefer women like in the pictures, with mininal to moderate makeup which complements the girl's natural beauty. They simply don't understand that this does qualify as makeup. What they really mean is that they don't like the clown/prostitute look of more makeup than face.
2. They are pathetic simp losers hoping that a girl who wears no make up throws them some pity cyber sex through this site. That's the most likely explanation considering the material in this site.
Bc at the end of the day you have to remove all that thing and see your real self when you do that you would feel more depressed bc not you made up two versions of you one fakeish and other the real.
If someone says men won't accept lol what other choices men have? We love you as you are it's ok toj be simple and know who you are truly and embrace it.
Face and beauty are only a few minutes of attraction the quality of a person would make a person to stay with them or not
Some women and usually they're pretty young like 19-22 don't really have acne or many skin imperfections so in this case other than the makeup maybe adding a little bit of color. I've noticed some girls can make it look like they had a nice tan vs pale with no makeup. In this case it's like why go through the effort if you look great either way? Honestly if I'm going on a date with a girl and she doesn't have makeup on I feel like she doesn't give a shit and just rolled out of bed to show up for our date.
The acne in the first pic will mostly go away once the make-up has been gone long enough. Blocking pores with make-up causes a lot of the issues the women that donfull facial make-up are trying to hide.

Not all of it is acne unfortunately. Some are just basic pimples. I'm 21 and I still battle with them, my mom as well xD
No answer will 100% fit everyone. Some people will always have acne or pits in their face. Overall though, I prefer the natural look, or very minimal make-up.
Yes. It’s doesn’t matter if the fake version looks better, because THATS NOT A REAL PERSON. That’s the whole problem. The makeup look is fakery, are you going to where makeup for the rest of your life?
The natural look is authentic. The ideal is to look good with natural features. If you aren’t attractive with your natural face then you are not attractive, full stop. All makeup does is hide unattractive features, and the more it hides the farther from real that fake face is and the worse it is.

Tbh I don't care what men think. I love make up. I don't cake it on but it gives me confidence and I look better. If a guy doesn't like it then he's not the man for me. I hate facial hair and dad bods and all that stuff but if a guy has that I just don't go near him. Simple. So for me I love make up and don't care if he doesn't
No men like fake his still gonna see your regular natural beauty in the morning when he wakes up next to you. So you in for the shock of looking fake all gone. Lol

I like makeup on women. I just do. What can I say? doesn't have to be heavy make up with tons of foundation or nothing. I just find it feminine, cute that a girl does herself up. Makes her seem more soft and in touch with herself somehow. Also in my brain at least it kind of symbolizes that if they are doing that they tend to pay attention to their bodies so they will have better hygiene and health. Maybe that's not true but my brain just says that when i see it.
I don’t think all of these comparative pictures are great examples. I mean, yes when you’re with a girl long enough she might sometimes break out in a few zits around her period, and it’s something you shouldn’t mind too much if you love her, but I’m just into raw imperfections because studying art history made me appreciate natural beauty more.
First off... it's not "zero makeup" it's natural looking and minimal makeup. Secondly, yes, natural looks better in 99.9% of cases, assuming she is actually not just fugly. I've seen women who had a ton of acne but based on their good bone structure & personality, no guy would just dismiss them. Life is more complicated than airbrushed/fake insta.
They aren’t that pretty even with makeup. pretty women look good even without makeup. Most men can’t tell if women have a little makeup on and that is the type they like because it still looks nice but not overdone. They don’t like overdone. Of course everyone wants someone who looks pretty without makeup because that’s what he’s going to wake up to.
Here's the rub... That makeup has to come off at some point. The ones that wear too much usually have poor skin just globbing that crap in thick.
If they need makeup to look good, there is a lot more missing. If you take a guy and put a lot of socks in his pants, and put him into a sports car really any more sexy? It's all fake.
Real is the deal. If you're girl is ugly, be proud that someone will mess with her. If not, leave the ugly ones at home, or for target practice.
In honest words, it may take a short while to get used to some of the details, but that is because the surface "looks messy". After getting used to what you see when looking at it long or often enough, you will get used to it because it is the person's character that I place in my priority, so that is more important. What you see then only becomes superficial.
I think the redhead is the only one who looks good/maybe even better without makeup. With makeup she looks cute, but it's a different kind of look. I also like her hair wet.
The blonde girl is cute with makeup, but not without. But could also be the picture, I think a lot of girls look cute in person w/o makeup but the camera really highlights bad skin issues.
The brunette girl I just don't think she's very cute either way. Not ugly or anything just not attractive to me.

I’ve posted a similar question like this on myself, as a experiment. That guys told me I look a lot better with makeup on.
Even if I’m face timing with a guy, I’ve gotten a couple comments of a guy telling me: “can you please put on makeup or red lipstick 💄? Just something, please?”

Yikes, I've never actually heard of someone to get on that way. Maybe depends on what country you come from but no wonder girls feel the need to put make-up on if they are getting mocked like that. Honestly I wouldn't of let that phase me but yet again I'm not female so I don't know the feeling. Just assholes everywhere, they are not worth your thoughts or time.

Most of the guys I've seen who say they prefer natural actually mean they prefer nude tones in make-up. They'll point to someone and be like "Like her! No make-up and she's gorgeous" and she is gorgeous, but she also has on make-up and they just can't tell because she isn't wearing bright lipstick or eyeliner.
Attractive women look good without make up. If you’re attracted to the women in the pictures that’s your own taste. That doesn’t make them attractive. The first women, the face shape looks changed via photo-shop. She just looks weird and fake in the makeup pic... The other two have the same face shape, they just look like their face is smeared with paint and power.
Tbh for me i wld prefer both like u can be natural n u can wear makeup but just dont put too much makeup , cause too much is basically like you’re wearing a mask to cover your insecurities, which it won't work, but also it depends on the women and what she likes. I like the natural look because most of the time I feel like I am seeing cake faces, or just a bad job.
But on the flip side, I don't have good/great skin either. So I am very self-conscious about myself. If she doesn't mind her own natural skin and looks, then I feel like she is okay with mine too.
why you posted girls with pimples as exemple? I don't think they are attractive, not all the girls have pimples or acnee without makeup, the problem of the girls that you posted is the simmetry of their face and skin defects, there is no connection with make up
i usually prefer girls without makeup, but if you have skin problems or a strange nose as the girls that u posted, i prefer them with make up
In all of those above examples, the girls look much better with makeup. I've noticed that truly attractive girls only use a little eyeliner. When you start relying on makeup, your face gets more and more blemishes. Girls don't scrub their faces properly because they're afraid of being rough and damaging their skin. Their pores are always clogged because of it. And makeup only worsens the effect on their pores, so when they're makeup free their skin looks terrible.
A very simple habit to do is to scrub your face in a shower using hot water, then finish the last 30 seconds in as cold water as you can stand. The hot water and steam opens up your pores to clean properly, and the cold water tightens it again. This is the method I use, and I haven't had blemishes in forever.

Everyone has different skin types and genes. I don't wear foundation yet I still get blemishes from time to time and my skin is often red and sensitive because I'm a very light type.
I think only dark types can look good without makeup.

So my ex is the only white girl with "good genes?" I stick with my earlier statement. You can't speak for the whole population. You can speak for yourself.
Guys don't know anything about makeup, so don't even bother asking. They don't like the plastered fake look. All they know is pretty when they see it. So do your best, for love can't start 'till attraction does, and then there needs to be a conversation. Don't skip those social skills development either.
There is no other way to describe it, natural complexion women are great to be around, and look at for their faces, and I am more than accepting of pimples on people because I have constant seasonal cystic acne since I was a sophomore in high school, and that is why I look way younger than I am.
i voted natural, but i dont think it matters one way or the other too much. even the caked on look isn't a deal breaker. if you like doing make up, do your make up. all the women i like tell me they prefer dad bods because then they feel small. i'm not going to let myself go and become unhealthy, just because thats what they prefer.
Its not that make up is bad or off limits, it's more that seeing her without make up is kind of special. Like we want a girl to trust us enough to take her mask off and let us see them without the make up.

They don't, not really. Generally the men who say that crap are losers who are threatened by the fact that a woman puts some effort into her appearance.
All the men who I've met that believe a bit of lipstick is "too high maintenance" were losers who deliberately focus on the frumpiest and laziest of women, because not so deep down they know that they are the only ones who may be willing to give them a chance.
What ars you "making up" exactly? Ever think about that? What are you hiding? What happened to feeling comfortable in your own skin? What benefits does make up have? How is it worth the money and time? Doesn't it ruin the skin, make it break out more? So many questions, I just do t get the point. Should men be wearing make up for the same purposes? Dont get me wrong I love makeup when it Halloween lol.
I think its fair if they've built a personality around their style, I'd love the person under the caked mess reguardless. But never have liked the makeup overall. Little bits here and there can be nice and sexy but when its full on orange and they have this almost constant fear that its not on point enough... I do worry and think it can be mentally harmful sometimes
What's gained by putting on makeup? Honestly, nothing. Her beauty isn't defined based off of use of cosmetics. Her real beauty is selfless attributes for example... She is in a relationship with a guy who speaks a different language and she becomes fluent in his native language for him.
Natural, makeup smells gross. That said, the images on the right are not uncommon as being the "without makeup version", not everyone has thin eyelashes, blemishes, and irritated skin.
not all girls look good without make up. I think the second girl looks better without make up. The problem is having no make up on reveals the natural flaws as you said, and only a guy who likes you as a person would find that attractive, not a stranger.
All these women are slightly more attractive to me without makeup

depends if the woman has a pizza face covered in zits and acne or if her skin is decent (not completely blemish free but decent enough where it doesn't need makeup) or if the woman has a face like savannah guthrie where the makeup needs to be pounded on her face like a cake with frosting

I'll stand by my perception that most chicks without makeup look like men with long hair (or maybe we look like women with short hair) but at the same time, I do only prefer chicks that I can be attracted to straight out of bed.
@YoGirlLeona Yeah bruh, a lot of people on this planet can pass for either gender given the circumstance. I think there is this perception that because women are the onea who get the sexual attention that somehow that also means you're inherently more better looking. I would disagree, most people are plain or bad looking, and a lot of women straight up look like dudes. Look at the jawline of the chick in the last picture, if she got a haircut I wouldn't be able to tell if she was a teenage boy or transitioning
So long or short hair is your defining feature for gender? Women are feminine, have higher fat deposits, and they're smaller and weaker. Men are more masculine and have sharper features. I can't believe I have to explain this to someone who is much older than me. Both genders are attractive, and that girl definitely looks like a woman and she's beautiful. When I had short hair, people could tell I was a girl unless I wore baggy clothes and shit. When guys have longer hair, people can tell they're guys.
@YoGirlLeona Ah, I see. The main point wasn't the hair, it's the facial features that make some women look masculine like squarer jaws, lower or thick eyebrows, prominent nose/chin. I'm just saying the hair would seal the deal for them looking androgynous.

When I was putting my makeup on while camping, my guy friend said “I don’t like girls who wear lots of makeup”. I said “well I’m putting makeup on” and he replied “yeah but yours just looks natural”. So make of that what you will.
Nooo nooo for god’s sake stop believing the ‘no makeup bs’. Makeup SHOULD be done by women. It shouldn’t look too much and over the top but a little bit of makeup for a fresh glowy face is really nice

Only the first girl was attractive to begin with. And that was only in her “after” photo. I can’t answer this honestly. Because it depends on who you are applying it to. For the most part I’d say it makes no difference
makeup is ment to improve the looks, the the whole point. but at the same it kind of sets up a high expectation we have to look like that all the time. so a minimum of make of great in my opinion
The more natural, the better. A little makeup (like concealer and stuff) is fine. Just don't be looking like either a clown or that you have a different facial structure (shape) than you do.
