QUESTION FOR MILLENNIALS, do y’all like gen z fashion trends?

I’m wondering if millennials even like gen s fashion, since I feel like millennials have such different taste in fashion and gen z is a lot more artistic and self expressive in their fashion.

Down bellow I’ll give examples of some gen z trends

1st picture is an example of “alt” fashion and it consists of stuff that deviates from mainstream/commercialized fashions

The 2nd picture is an example of streaks, putting streaks in your hair of any color is really popular among gen z rn


The 3rd picture is of “milkmaid dresses” which have gotten really popular recently

And lastly are Mary Jane shoes, I actually got a pair of these cause their super cute 😊

What I like is that they have the chance to try more and then they actually do it... more than following one big trend and all of them at the same time, you see many things popping everyone at the same time and also more often.

They sure have a lot less reservations and limitiations than past generations, when it comes to trying out new stuff and have fun with it, which is the whole point of it when you're young, while in the past... a lot of people had no choice but to go with a trend to try and fit in, I sure see a lot less of that nowadays.

Be free to express who you are without giving an f what people think. I think Gen Zs have the personalities of the youngest in the family, fun, artsy, spoilt for choice, expressive and reckless lol but that's all fine with me. You're at a stage where you like to experiment. It's great that they have changed the perspective of fashion and the way to go about it. Mary janes are shoes and milkmaid dresses have always been there just became popular as influencers made it that way.
As a millennial I dress differently but like classy clothes I go from fashion to grunge to barbie on different days. It depends as I have to be dressed appropriately for the job I have.

I like the shoes the most, the hair reminds me of billy eilish and it’s fun but it only looks good on really pretty girls. The milk maid dress would not look good on my body type , and the first outfit is fun and alternative. Mostly I am kind of just pissed of that they want to replace skinny jeans with over sized ones or supposedly low rise jeans. And the fact that they want my side part to be “out of style” it’s the only thing that has looked good on me since I outgrew my child hood bangs.

I say this as someone who is late gen x, and looking at these photos, 2/3 of them look like you found your mom's old clothes from when she was a teen.

That said in general kids nowadays stylehop a lot more, it seems more like dress up for an instagram photo. Used to be your style was tied to the music you listened to and people really stuck with a narrower range.

Very early millennial here (born in 1984), and we wore quite of those when we were teens. I know it’s not what you asked but yes I like it. Granted I can only speak for myself though

In the 90's and 00's, these trends were already outdated. Whatever they wear now, has been a trend before. I see it as a come-back, not as a novelty.

I like the Gen Z fashion, I think it's more diverse and there's a wide range of styles :)

Some are ok but I am gen Z and I dislike very risky t-shirt and would prefer to wear my gaming top and cartoon tops
