My brother confessed to me that he would like to try on women's clothes, make-up, and heels, what should I do?

My parents went on vacation and me and my brother stayed home. We are of course old enough to stay alone, I am 22 years old and my brother is 18 years old.

He told me he would like to try on women's clothes, makeup, heels etc. He asked me not to tell our parents about it. Honestly, I didn't really know what to answer and that surprised me a little because my brother is quite masculine and not at all feminine.

I don't mind, but what should I do, should I let him do it and not tell our parents?

That would seem pretty sensible. Clothes are just clothes- the only power they have is what we give them. Putting on a particular piece of clothing doesn't change your gender, or your race, or your sexuality, or anything else, really, except what you're wearing. Most crossdressers aren't even gay; they're men who have a particular fascination with women and their associated accessories.

If the idea doesn't bother you, why not go for it? Even from the viewpoint of an open-minded American, it seems like a weird thing to bond over (so don't worry if you feel that way, too), but take the joy you can get- there's little enough of it in life as it is.

I would suggest just being supportive. It could be a phase, experimentation with cross-dressing or something like dysphoria. Sometimes people with dysphoria overcompensate by being extremely masculine or feminine. You may suggest to him to see a therapist. Just be careful. Good ones can help you sort through the noise, but bad ones can be manipulative.

Yes, that's what I'm going to do and I'm not going to tell my parents anything, that just surprised me.

He’s an adult. You have no say in what he does. Tells no your parents wold be horrible. Why would you do that? It’s harmless.
