Wellll... when I was engaged, I asked him if he would be my "Maid of Honor". He said yes, but then backed out when I showed him the dress I wanted him to wear. I don't have the most mainstream sense of humor... I really would have had he do it. But then the wedding got called off. I always considered it a missed opportunity!

Lovely Aqua shade, floor length cotton dress with crochet insets at the empire waist and on the butterfly style sleeves with a nice big bow in the back. And going with the dressy casual look I would have chosen scrappy kitten heel sandals in a matching shade... if they could be found in his clodhopper size.

strappy, not scrappy kitten heel. Although, scrappy might be a better definition for the two of us. lol

No need. He's a natural beauty... lol

@Caroline91 I messaged you, but you didn't reply 😔

@MrZameer It was a long time ago. When I was just 19. A series of truly unfortunate misunderstandings happened, which could be laid at my mother's feet, and I broke things off. Just goes to show how important communication with each other is. I've now been married for 11 years to someone else.

Yes. He refused. He's SUCH a stubborn guy!

@Caroline91 I think you aren't following me, that's why you don't get notifications when I message you
- 11 d
Oh, why... Hmmm... he never said. You know: Don't ask, don't tell?

I would certainly have enjoyed it, even if he wouldn't have. But it did surprise me bc I thought he would really get a kick out of it. I can't tell you how many times I have seen him in drag since. He is a very masculine Alpha type guy (true alpha, not one of the fake wannabes) and it is hilarious. I think he just didn't want to do it in a formal setting, although the wedding I had planned was anything but formal. My mother wouldn't stop being difficult, so I finally cancelled all of the plans and bought a white bikini to be married in down by the ocean so we could go bodysurfing at the "reception" and was going to invite all of the guests to wear their bathing suits. I'm just not a traditional girl. lol

Male actors wear makeup and I’m sure these ladies wouldn’t cause a scene with all these actors wearing makeup before being filmed / featured.
If the brother uses their makeup without permission I’m sure they’d be pissed, though as long as he wore his own then it would be fine. Hell, then the brother could give her tips n tricks to better than makeup game lmao.

*their makeup game sorry for the typo.
My point is, idc what you do with your life as long as it doesn’t harm / hurt others, wearing makeup isn’t going to kill anyone.

First, I'd be very surprised... I don't have a brother, only one sister.
If I did have a brother, my surprise would depend on how much makeup he is wearing. Too much and I might disown him. 😐

AskIf my brother decided to wear makeup, I'd be totally supportive and curious about his choices. Expressing oneself through makeup can be creative and fun, regardless of gender. I'd probably ask him if he wanted any tips or wanted to try any new looks! 😊 Plus, who doesn't love experimenting with colors and styles?

His decision. Nothing wrong with some light makeup on guys. If it's strong or very feminine then it's not my cup of tea but will accept it anyway

If that's what he wants to do, go right ahead. I know of guys in a band that we played several gigs with who STILL wear make-up, even though the band broke up decades ago!

Unless he was in a rock band, I would think he's gay and feminine and a sissy and I would try to snap him out of it. I would probably bully him/give him a hard time about it honestly.
01 Reply- 11 d
What if he wanted to regardless what you thought, wouldn’t bullying just make him do it more knowing it pissed you off? Secondly, if he is wearing makeup because it makes him confident in the same way you’d wear a black leather jacket and black boots to feel ‘macho’ then by all means bullying / mocking wouldn’t do a damn thing.

Grossed out. Thankfully, my brother is sane enough to not go there.

I didn't have a brother, so while I might have looked askance at it, especially when we were boys, I'd have thought it his choice.(Fictive brothers;hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!!!)

Supportive. Id have questions but keep it to myself. My brother has at various points but id never say anything. He’s my bother no matter what.

A world where you feel the need to "keep it to myself" is a world lacking free speech.

@idonotlikeyou I would assume the mask doesn't fully cover his face... so that's when we use cammo makeup, yes

or... maybe the Glam Rock from the 90's has made a comeback...
