I have curly hair (still not sure what type, as usually it's moderately curly/wavy, but sometimes likes to form tighter curls/spirals, and other days just turns into a mass of frizz if I sleep on it while it's wet, or there's any humidity in the air). I definitely have a love/hate relationship with it, and have found myself really frustrated with it and definitely have always envied smooth, sleek, shiny, frizzless "wash and go" hair.
I do like the volume I can easily get from it, as I'm not a fan of really flat or pin straight styles, but would love to have that without frizz. I can get it to be manageable, but never anywhere close to perfect.
I really hate how I get curls by my temples that look funny, but are nearly impossible to smooth out because they're so close to my skin. I also hate the halo of frizz I have when I have to tie my hair back for work, and have still not found anything to do much for that. It certainly doesn't help that I've recently gone through a shedding phase and have tons of baby hairs growing in at the moment.
I think my hair looks hideous no matter what I do some days and can't stand it, but I've also had days where I've really liked the way it looks. Every once in a great while, it will naturally look really nice without me doing anything to it. I have to savor those moments though, because they are few and far between, lol. The ironic thing is that I've always gotten lots of compliments on it and people saying they wish they had it, including professionals. I always thought they were crazy, lol!
Anyway, overall, I don't think curly hair is necessarily ugly, and it can be beautiful. It definitely depends on how it is managed, though, and it seems like a guessing game finding what works, and works consistently. I still don't have it down, but also don't like fussing with it too much, so just try to deal with the bad hair days as best as I can.

Taking care of curly hair can be a nightmare, just hair everywhere 😂(trust me I know) but if you take good care of it and use products that actually cater to curly hair , your curls will be so defined and bouncy you'll fall in love with it❤️. Side note, I think curly hair is sexy💯
I think there's a difference between something being ugly, and not being attracted to something. As an individual I am not generally attracted to curly, hair, nor do I find it ugly.
Also, a person's appearance is rarely defined by a single feature for me. So perhaps out of context I am not usually attracted to curly hair, but in context with the right person, their whole appearance, style, personality, it all factors into my subjective attraction to them.
I think a good question is how do you feel about your hair? And what do you want to do about it?
If it's managed, it can look great and is a nice change on a girl.
You think yours is bad, you should see my hair:
Thin, tangle-prone, frizzy, front bit is straight/wavy, whilst the back is curly and and a naturally far back hairline like who has that?
The thing is, I'm naturally quite hairy too, lots on my arm and legs, whilst having thick eyebrows, yet I'm complete garbage up top.
I do manage my eyebrows and body hair though.
Try a leave in conditioner or go to a stylist.

I dont like so much curly hair I never had curly hair before im a straight hair lady ny whole life but I do know you have to take good care of it often to keep it healthy. The only time I lets say had curly hair was when i was in high school that back then there was a IN hairstyle called in Spanish "permanente where the hairstylist put on your hair some chemical treatment first to make the hair curly with special hair rollers. I hate that curly so much that one day after that curly I wanted to wash it to take it off but I know it was a permanent thing nd I could not do it, for lets say maybe more than 2 years and my hair got all frizzy afterwards. So after that hair incident many years ago I choose not to have curly hair anymore ever and I think due to that incident years and years after my straight hair now when i washed it at home and dry it naturally, my hair has uneven waves now i dont have straight straight hair anymore, like I had when I was younger and before the curly treatment.
I think it's just a matter of finding what works for you hair and what doesn't.
You can always straighten it and hope for the best but as soon as rain, or humidity touches it, game over.
Figure out what your hair type is first, then look at companies that cater to those types of hair textures.I can't tell you what to do with your hair but I believe curly hair is pretty my cousin had a late friend and they called her Suzy Q and her real name was Suzie she got the nickname cause she had beautiful curly hair.. In my opinion, talk to a professional hairstylist and ask them what can you use to tame your hair down and I wish
the best on this matter 👼🙏
P. S. I've heard people use Coconut Cream to tame it down also

https://www.etsy.com/c/bath-and-beauty/hair-care/conditioners-and-treatments?ref=catfilter_L2&explicit=1I agree with you in that curly hair is a b*tch to deal with, which is a major reason why I keep mine short, and why my mom blows a fortune in time and money keeping hers' in check. I don't think it's the worst-looking hair ever, but I like wavy hair more, as well as straight hair if it's not put into some weird style.
I used to think that way too you just have to find products that are for you. Avoid sulfates (those dry your hair) and avoid silicones. Some brands I recommend are shea moisture and Cantu. Also refresh your hair when you go out by wetting your hair a bit, using gel, and scrunching that helps me a lot. Gel is super important
I have curly hair and I love it, go to an expert, he or she will know what product you can use to make them work
I think it's beautiful. But I know it's hard to manage. My mom has curly hair and I have wavy hair. If mine's is hard to manage, I can imagine yours. But I think it's really pretty anyway.
No it’s not ugly! Lots of woman pay a lot of money to have their hair look like that. You have it naturally. I would suggest you look into hairstyles that work well with your natural curls, and just rock it. Be happy with what you have and own it. It’s not ugly.
personally i think curly hair is very attractive
but its not for everybody (*~▽~)I felt the same way at your age. I wore my hair in a ponytail until I was 16. Try using Ouidad products. After a shower, dry your hair until it's damp, not dripping. Then flip your hair down (bend from the waist down). Pump the bottle about two or three times and comb it through your hair. Start in the middle then scrunch the ends. Flip your head back and whatever product is remaining, comb through the top of your head.
Straight hair = plain jane, dime a dozen, nobody interesting
Curly hair = distinctive, unique, etc. The less done with it, the more eye catching.
Most people WANT curly hair because it isn't common. It's distinctive. As for frizzy, etc. try using some proper hair products. There's entire lineups of shampoos & conditions designed specifically for curly hair.No. I have coily hair. I think wearing your natural texture shows your uniqueness. Please don’t feel bad about something that makes you stand out. I know naturally textured hair can be a headache and takes a while to get it how you want but I’m sure it’s beautiful since your friends envy it. If you haven’t, find low maintenance styles and look at YouTube videos (about your hair type) to help you manage.
I love curly hair if that is you in the picture you're absolutely beautiful but if you don't like it I guess you have to use a straightener on it I guess but you're not ugly that's for sure and that hair is not ugly. But I do understand what you're saying because when I was younger I had long curly hair and even in my thirties long curly hair and one morning I woke up and it was all sticking everywhere and I shaved my head and that's all I do now LOL
Curly hair is awesome hair. Especially when a confident woman flaunts it like it's an accessory to her personality. Big curly hair stand out to me and when I see a woman in a public crowd, she's the only one I'm looking at.
No. My mom has curly thick hair and complains a lot about having curly hair. My straight hair is turning wavy
Nah, mulata (black and white mixed) type, long soft and curly hair is the most beautiful texture in my opinion.
I think curly hair is beautiful and I have it. But I do wish I had naturally straight hair. It's annoying to manage it so I see what you mean
Straight hair people, want curly hair. Curly haired people, want straight hair 🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 I love curly hair !!!
Lots of reasons to love curly hair. It's not the hairstyle I use, but looks nice. Not ugly at all.
I actually like bouncy curls, they're very tempting to run your hands through
