I don’t care what other girls do, but for myself I like to wear NO makeup most of the time.

I also wear natural/lighter makeup some days when I feel like it and heavier makeup for dates or events.

I taught myself how to do makeup for special events and I enjoy watching makeup videos when winding down after a long day so I’m grateful I know how to do makeup for someone who rarely wears it.

But do YOU. Guys don’t even fully understand makeup, yet they’re so opinionated on it lol.

Some women put on a lot of makeup to look pretty, others are naturally beautiful. Unfortunately there are some who don't look so great because they cake on the stuff and others could resort to grease paint and not do much for themselves.

There's a bit of a problem of girls being dismissive, "she's not that hot she puts on a lot of makeup," or, "it isn't fair she barely touches her face and looks like that." Life sucks. Sorry.

All that being said, no preference overall on my part. It depends on the girl.

Even the example above labeled "little makeup/natural", she's still wearing tons of makeup. It's just more neutral eyeshadow colors, but you can see makeup caked on everywhere else.

I hardly ever wear makeup, and my boyfriend doesn't seem to mind.

I think it depends on the girl. However heavy makeup is probably not the best. I have a perfect example for this. I work with two girls. One girl never wears makeup because she’s just a casual employee who just comes in for a little while. Anyway she is naturally gorgeous, so I would say she doesn’t need it. Now another girls puts on makeup and I would say a little on the heavier side of normal. It’s not pasted on but it’s definitely more then normal. Now she looks amazing with the makeup but I’ve also seen her without it and she’s definitely still very attractive just not AS attractive with the makeup. Now the first girl I would love to see her all done up. Like for a wedding or something. I image she would look incredible.

It's funny how people think all people look naturally good. And how society would just embrace imperfections the way Tumblr does. Most of all, I'm amused by guy perception of "natural beauty", which is just expert make up.

Less is more. I recognize that some makeup can improve things, but less is best and I prefer her look to be as natural as possible. Ideally, some eyeliner and maybe lip gloss would be fine for me, but I know that my be asking too much (too little?) for some girls.

Im going to start by saying How much makeup a woman wears doesn't really matter as much as when and how she uses it, also What style she's aiming for. I would never judge a woman for wanting to look nice but today you see a lot of women doing the same exact contoured looks and looking similar to eachother. I think if a woman wants to use makeup she shouldn't do it in a way that masks herself and not attempt to look like something else.. but use it to bring out the qualities she already has.

To answer the question, i personally like less makeup on the women i date. The ones who did wear some; it was more of a treat like when we would go out places or do something special. a little bit went a long way too.

Tasteful makeup can make a woman glow. The "no makeup" look can even out her skin tones and make her look fresh. But it's best when it's invisible.
I hate fake eye lashes, thick eye liner and obvious eye shadow. Even gaudy lipstick is a turn off unless it is for a special occasion.

I'm a girl and prefer not to wear any makeup. I feel more comfortable with my bare face, although I have mild acne and dark spots. However, if I do wear make up, it's very little, and not as noticeable. I'd put on some eyebrows, lipstick and that's it!

I find this interesting because I recently posted a poll, asking which look people preferred. Unsurprisingly the photo with no makeup scored lowest and the picture with the most makeup scored highest.
Lots of men claim they prefer no make up at all but when presented with the choice the majority of people, men in particular found the photo with the most amount of make up the most attractive.

I don't care about makeup for any amount. Makeup is a mask to me and more of a girl thing. I do appreciate it when she puts some on when going on dates with me. It shows she's putting in effort into her appearance for me and that's nice of her. I'm neutral about it though, I'm okay with her wearing nothing to any amount.

I'm not overly familiar with makeup so there may be things I like that I didn't know was makeup (like some girls are apparently pretty great at a "natural look" that still uses makeup). That being said, the only makeup I really like is mascara and maybe something like lip gloss.

And a girl who does her nails, if that is considered makeup in some way.
