You're confused.

Cleft lip and others like reconstruction aren't called "plastic surgery" per say. Cosmetic procedures tend to come more under the bracket of plastic surgery, as they are procedures for aesthetics and the surgeons are more about the "art" than the "medical".

As for it being free. Surely that's called "a knife fight" where you let someone give you surgery for free?

At least correctable deformaties which cause actual issues. Should be covered by insurance or government care. Under the same scope as other medical procedures would be by that country's laws.

Unfortunately, nothing medical is free. There are programs, depending on country, that assist with those types of surgeries. Wish there were more for those that truly need it.

it's free where I live but you do have to go on a waiting list especially to get the dental part fixed which could be anywhere from 2 to 10 years wait
