I think all surgeries should be free for people with medical issues. If Canada can do it, then America sure as hell can. The problem is this economy is horrible, and fortune 500 companies don't exactly have the average person's health in mind. That's why our country produces and wastes so much, we're really greedy. For example, there are approximately 16 million vacant homes in America and approximately 500,000 homeless people as of 2022. Those homes are more than enough to give to those individuals, but people won't give them out for free.

Yes, I do. It is in many countries. Among developed nations it's only the US that does not provide necessary medical care for all citizens.
